It provides UG BA, BSc, and BCom courses in a variety of subjects, as well as PG MA, PG Sc, and PG MCom courses. User Facts:

  • The maximum number of students from outside Odisha who can apply for admission to UG courses is limited. Students from outside Odisha may be admitted to any category, but their number cannot exceed 5% of the total allowed seats in that category, with a maximum of 1% of all seats going to candidates from that state or Union Territory of India.
  • The only applicants who may apply are women.
  • SC applicants will have 16.25% of the sanctioned strength reserved for them, while ST applicants will have 22.5% of the sanctioned strength allocated for them.
  • For each subject, 1% of the total seats will be set aside for PWDs and PHs (in the case of 40% disability).

M. Phil is available from RDWU of one year. The admissions process for this degree will be based on the career cum entrance exam and viva voce, which is a weighted combination of 20% for the viva voce and 40% for the written exam.

  • A written test will serve as a qualifying test. The minimum score will be 35% of the total marks in the written test.
  • The admission exam is waived for applicants who have passed national level exams such as the UGC NET, GATE, SLET, ICHR, etc.
  • A candidate must be a teacher at an accredited college or university in Odisha with a minimum of two years of experience in order to be considered for admission under the Teachers Quota.

    Application Process for UG courses:
    Step 1: Registration: Register on the main website of RDWU. Applicants must make sure a valid mobile number and an active e-mail ID in order to apply.

    Step 2: Payment of Application Fee: Pay the application fee of INR 300 through SBI Collect or through Credit/ Debit Card/ Net-Banking.

    Step 3: Fill the Application Form: Fill personal, educational details and upload the required documents.
