Students should be aware that 15% of the seats are allocated to candidates from outside Telangana State, while 85% of the seats are reserved for candidates from the state.

A valid University-Based Entrance Test score is required for enrollment in the M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. programs offered by PVNRTVU in a number of subjects. The M.V.Sc. entrance exam covers a variety of topics in accordance with MSVE-VCI 2008 rules. There are 200 MCQs in the test. To be admitted, students must receive at least 40% of the possible points in the exam (no minimum for SC, ST, or PH candidates).
