In Banda, Uttar Pradesh, Banda University of Agriculture and Technology (BUAT) was founded in 2010. Among all ICAR universities in India, the university is ranked #43. The institution provides UG and PG courses in home science, forestry, horticulture, and agriculture. Admission to Banda University
Admission to all courses at Banda University is determined by the results of the entrance exam, UPCATET, which is followed by counseling. The candidate may only take the test if they meet the requirements to be admitted to the specific course for which they are applying. How should one apply?

  • To access the application form, students need to go to the official website at https://buat.edu.in.
  • To proceed, click "Apply Online" and accept the terms and conditions.
  • The student must first register with a working email address.
  • The application form must have all necessary information filled out completely and precisely.
  • The student's photo and the necessary self-attested documentation need to be uploaded.
  • It is necessary to print off the application form and keep it handy for use in counseling and other admissions processes.
  • You can pay the application cost with a credit/debit card, e-challan, etc. for INR 1250 (general category) or 1NR 1050 (SC/ST).


UPCATET Offline application

  1. Narendra Dev University of Agriculture and Technology sells the application form.
  2. Complete the form completely, accurately, and attach the necessary self-attested documentation.
  3. The application form needs to be attached with a Demand Draft (DD) covering the application fee of INR 1250 for general category and INR 1050 for SC/ST.
  4. The following address must be used to submit the application: "Narendra Dev University of Agriculture & Technology, Kumarganj, Faizabad, 224229 (U.P.), Name of the Registrar: Dr. P.K. Singh."


Process of Counseling

  • Following the announcement of the admission exam results, the chosen candidates receive calls for counseling.It is necessary to download the counseling letter from the website.
  • The letter will provide details on the counseling schedule, including the date, time, and location.
  • Seats will be assigned to the students according to availability, merit, and reservations.
  • The student is needed to have the necessary paperwork with them when they attend the counseling session.
  • The students also need to bring two bank drafts (INR 500 for the counseling fee and INR 5000 for the initiation fee) in addition to these papers.
  • The candidate's admittance will be revoked if any of the necessary paperwork is not brought.

  • Library: The University Library is located in the College of Agriculture building's multipurpose hall. Apart from acquiring many textbooks and instructional guides, periodicals and daily newspapers are consistently supplied to the library to furnish students and staff with current information and understanding.

  • Laboratory: There are over 25 laboratories within the university. Each of the departments of forestry, agriculture, and horticulture has more than five labs. They're all outfitted with contemporary instruments.
