Business Administration Department In 1995, Tezpur University was established. "To be a coveted knowledge hub of management education for creating socially responsible global citizens" is the organization's stated mission. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has granted the institute approval and it is associated with Tezpur University. Business Today (BT) 2023 ranked it 98th in the category of Top B-Schools. It provides students with Ph.D., MBA, and diploma programs. The MBA program admits students based on their performance on national entrance tests, like the MAT and CAT. While for Ph.D., Tezpur University administers its own test.

The Department currently offers a full-time and part-time doctoral program, a full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA), a postgraduate diploma in tourism management, and starting in the fall of 2016, a Master of Tourism and Travel Management.

Admission to Tezpur University's Department of Business Administration

The online method is used for admission. Candidates who meet the requirements may apply online at the institute's official website. In order to be considered for admission to any of the programs, candidates must have graduated from an accredited university or institute with a minimum of 50% of the required graduate degree in a relevant discipline.

The CAT/MAT score is used to choose candidates. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) based on how well they performed in the CAT/MAT. The applicants' overall performance determines the final choice.

CAT

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is an online examination administered nationally to candidates seeking admission to MBA programs. CAT Eligibility states that candidates must hold a graduate degree. Online registration is available for the CAT. IIM Kozhikode has tentatively set November 24, 2019, for CAT 2019. Following the release of the CAT results, candidates may apply to the Tezpur University Department of Business Administration's MBA program based on the marks they received in the CAT.

MAT

The Management Aptitude Test, or MAT, is required for admission to PGDM and MBA programs. The All India Management Association (AIMA) administers this national online/offline exam four times a year in February, May, September, and December. 1. Business Administration 

Library Resources: Students and faculty members can access a vast and constantly expanding selection of texts and reference volumes at the university library. In addition to a vast collection of back volumes of print journals, the Library gateway provides electronic access to a plethora of e-journals pertaining to tourism and management.

2. Computer Lab:

The newest, highest-end computer equipped with the newest hardware and software is installed in the departmental computer center. Every computer in the lab has a high-speed internet connection, allowing students to access it whenever they need to. Every departmental building has a maximum of one Wi-Fi connection, and every classroom has a high-speed LAN connection and is web-enabled.

3. Health Care Facilities:

The university is home to a state-of-the-art 24-hour health center that is staffed by highly qualified and experienced male and female doctors and paramedical staff and equipped with the latest technology for treating medical emergencies, including an ultrasound sonography facility, an ECG machine, a pathology lab, ambulances, etc.

4. Free Teaching Package:

At the start of the program, a set of textbooks on key papers is given to MBA students who have been accepted into the Department as financial aid.
