Uttar Pradesh institution of Medical Sciences (UPUMS), also known as the U.P. Rural Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, is a state medical institution founded by the Uttar Pradesh government in Saifai in 2016. The university is accredited by the Medical Council of India (MCI), the Dental Council of India (DCI), the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), and the University Grant Commission (UGC). The institution is certified by NAAC, IQAC, and NABL and affiliated with Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj institution in Kanpur.

UPUMS comprises five primary faculties: medical, dentistry, paramedical sciences, nursing, and pharmacy. The institution offers major courses such as MBBS, BSc Nursing, MD, MS, MDS, MCh, BPT, BRIT, and BOT. The institution also provides Diploma programs in Nursing and Paramedical courses, which are connected with the State Medical Faculty in Lucknow. Admission to UPUMS in 2024
