SBU Ranchi admission
- Candidates must have a valid CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT score in order to be admitted to MBA programs. Applicants must take the SBU Entrance Exam if they haven't participated in any of the entrance exams listed above.
- Applicants for admission to the B.Tech program must have passed either the national JEE Main exam or an equivalent state exam. On the other hand, admission to all law courses requires a valid CLAT score. Applicants must take the SBU Entrance Exam if they haven't participated in any of the entrance exams listed above.
- Candidates for the Diploma in Engineering program are chosen using the SBU Entrance Test and the State-level Polytechnic Entrance Test.
- The criteria for admission to all other UG and PG programs is the merit score obtained on the most recent qualifying exam. There is no entrance exam necessary.
- The PhD Entrance Exam is the basis for admission, and it is followed by a personal interview. Candidates qualifying by JRF, GATE, or UGC-NET, however, are not required to take the PhD entrance exam.

Placements at university
A diversified Training & Placement Cell is in charge of organizing placements. The Training & Placement cell collaborates with important institutions to provide student activity programs and internships, and it also promotes the way of placement for learners who graduate from the Institute.

Facilities available at university
- Hostel: Sarala Birla University provides lodging options as well. The cost of a non-air conditioning room at SBU Ranchi Hostel, including meals, is INR 48,000 each semester.
- Library: There is a large, well-stocked library at the university. It contains a wide range of images and digital storage. In addition to e-books, learners can receive consideration and books. At the beginning of their academic year, students receive a Library Card, which they will use for all library-related transactions.
- Transportation: The university provides pick-up and drop-off services for its students. There is a bus route that runs within 100 kilometers of the college. They cover 60% of the city with certain routes that they run. The bus times correspond to the schedule provided by the university. Each semester, the transportation cost is INR 8000.
- Medical Services: A doctor and sitters are available on campus in case of an emergency. An ambulance can be seen on the premises. In addition to receiving sufficient medical education, learners have the option of being admitted to the hospital if necessary.
