Ranchi, Jharkhand's Sarala Birla institution (SBU) is a private institution that is self-financed. By virtue of the Sarala Birla institution Act. 2017 (Jharkhand Act. 13, 2017), the institution was founded by the Legislative Assembly of Jharkhand in 2017.

At the undergraduate level, Sarala Birla University provides BPharm, BPA, LLB, Integrated-LLB, B.Tech, BA, BBA, BCA, B.Sc, B.Com, and BPharm courses. The university provides postgraduate courses in MBA, MCA, MTech, MA, M.Sc., MCom, LLM, and MPA. The institute also provides PhD programs in a variety of specializations, diplomas, and certifications.

1. A valid CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, or GMAT score shall be the foundation for admission to the MBA program.
2. CLAT results determine admission to law courses, while JEE Main determines entrance to BTech programs.
3. The SBU Entrance Exam will be the basis for admission to all other programs.

The School of Engineering and Computer Sciences at Sushila Birla University offers a four-year B.Tech degree with five distinct specialization options:

BTech Degree

Eligibility criteria

10+2 with a minimum of 50% overall in any one of the following disciplines: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology, Informatics Practice, or Information Technology, plus Physics and Mathematics as required subjects. Lateral: Engineering diploma with a minimum of 50% overall obtained a B.Sc. degree from an institution recognized by the UGC with a minimum of 50% overall, as well as passed the 10+2 exam with mathematics as a subject. Selection criteria

• Additionally, students must to have passed an entrance exam at the state or national level, such as JEE Main.
• To be considered eligible for admission, candidates who have not taken any of the aforementioned entry exams must show up for the SBU entry Exam.
• SBU selects students for admission to B.Tech programs based on their performance on the qualifying exam and entrance exam.

Eligibility

BCA at SBU Ranchi Eligibility 10+2 or its equivalent exam in any stream, with English as one of the subjects, and at least 50% of the total marks awarded by a recognized Board or University. (A 5% mark relaxation applies to candidates who fall under the ST/SC category.)

Candidates who meet the following qualifications are eligible for admission to the University's Ph.D. program:
a) Candidates with an M.Tech./M.E./M.Sc.(Engg.)/M.Sc./MCA/MBA/MA or equivalent degree in relevant branch from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA on a ten point scale in the qualifying examination (eligibility criteria will be relaxed by 5% marks for SC/ST candidates).
b) Sponsored candidates must have at least two years of professional work experience in addition to meeting the requirements listed above. In addition, such candidates must hold valid sponsorship for at least three years.

SBU Ranchi PhD Selection Criteria:
A valid score in PhD Entrance Test + Interview (UGC-NET/GATE/JRF qualified applicants are exempt from the PhD Entrance Test).
