Gujarat Maritime University UG, PG Admission 2024: Form Last Date,Fees, Eligibility

Gujarat Maritime University was founded in 2017 and is also referred to as GMU. In accordance with the Gujarat Private Universities Act of 2009, the Gujarat Maritime Board Education Trust established the university. Until a permanent home of its own is created, the University currently conducts its operations out of Gujarat National Law University's (GNLU) temporary campus. It is situated in a region known as Koba in Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat. Three postgraduate programs are currently offered by the college. The university offers two specializations in LLM, two specializations in EDP, and an MBA in Maritime Management in addition to other courses. Online applications are required for all courses. The grades obtained on the appropriate qualifying exams and entrance exams determine a student's admission to GMU.

From March 1–17, 2021, Gujarat Maritime University's Center of Executive Education hosted its inaugural Executive Development Program, "Insights in Maritime, Ports and Logistics–A Global Perspective." The program was provided in association with STC International, a Netherlands-based organization, and Erasmus UPT. Furthermore, GMU has suggested a number of future schools, including the School of Maritime Technology and the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, as well as centers, including the Center of Faculty Development and the Center of Continuing Education, which provide short-term courses for faculty nationwide and grant PhDs in a range of maritime-related subjects.

GMU Admission 

All GMU LLM courses are admitted on the basis of merit for all diploma programs and the results of the Common Law Admission Test (EDP). Before taking the CLAT, all candidates must fulfill the requirements listed below for eligibility. Admission to MBA programs is based on two factors: 50% are All-India Seats and 50% are State Quota Seats, which are managed by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC).

Eligibility

• There is no upper age limit or cap on the number of CLAT attempts for candidates.
• Must have graduated from any legal school or a similar institution with a minimum of 45% for applicants from the SC/ST Category and an overall score of 50% for candidates from the general, PWD, NRI, PIO, and OCI categories.
• At the time of admission, candidates who have not yet received their degrees but want to sit for the qualifying exam in the coming months must provide a paper copy of their transcripts from the relevant National Law Universities.
• Candidates with special needs must decide whether to bring their own scribe or get one from the CLAT office. 

To Apply in university, follow the steps:

• Candidates must first pass the Common Law Admissions Test in order to be eligible to apply. The Consortium of NLUs' official website is where you can apply for CLAT.
• The candidate must complete the application form found on GMU's official website once the CLAT results are announced.
• Applications for the LLM programme must be completed and submitted with an application fee of INR 1000 (general category), INR 500 (SC/ST), and INR 10000 (NRI). The application price for the MBA program is INR 1000 (general category) and INR 500 (SC/ST/ EWS). The application fee for the Executive Diploma Program is INR 4000 (general category), INR 2000 (SC/ST/ Gujarat Domicile), and INR 10000 (NRI).
•  NEFT, Net Banking, credit cards, and debit cards are the available payment methods.
• Following the selection process, students will be informed by means of the Online Merit shared and document verification.
• Although it is not necessary for candidates applying under the Foreign Nationals Category to appear in the CLAT, the basic requirements still apply.
• The selection of MBA candidates will be based on their valid scores from the CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, and GMAT, with GD and PI coming last.

GMU Facilities

• Library: The college features a 24-hour library stocked with more than 10,000 books from the trade and maritime industries alone. A large selection of online journals and research papers are accessible from a number of computers in the library.
• Computer Labs: GMU offers more than 20 computers, all of which are equipped with the newest hardware and operating systems. To help with their research and study, students have access to state-of-the-art databases and tools.
• Classrooms: GMU offers immaculate classrooms that are equipped with smartboards, contemporary furnishings, and multimedia devices. Moot courts and a fully furnished conference room are also features.
• Hostels: The institution offers both male and female on-campus residential facilities. The well-furnished rooms provide additional standard amenities as well as high-speed internet access.
• Sports: Students have access to indoor and outdoor stadiums and courts for athletics, basketball, tennis, and cricket, as well as a fully furnished gymnasium. There are amusement and recreation centers at the campus.
• Health Care: Every evening, a licensed doctor and a nurse make an evening visit to the hostel health center. Every block has first aid facilities that are regularly stocked and kept hygienically. In case of an emergency, the institution also maintains a van that is manned and prepared around-the-clock.
