 State private university, the institution was founded in accordance with the Rajasthan state legislative act. Established with the goal of offering high-quality education at a reasonable cost, SKDU is an expansion of the SKD group of universities.

This university covers the requirements of classroom instruction as well as industrial training by providing undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate programs in a variety of subjects. Students at Shri Khushal Das University are also given the opportunity to learn about defensive studies.

Management program 

• Undergraduate and graduate management courses with an industry focus are provided by the institution to its students.
• The students' admission to these courses is determined by their merit in their bachelor's or 10+2 exams.

Science program

• Students with a background in science can apply to undergraduate and graduate programs such as B.C.A., B.Sc., M.C.A., and others for further education.
• The basis for admission to these courses is the students' performance in their bachelor's or 10+2 exams.

Commerce program

• The institution promotes skill-based knowledge in its undergraduate and graduate degrees in the field of commerce.
• The basis for admission to these courses is the students' performance in their bachelor's or 10+2 exams.

Arts program 

• The most diverse stream, with a vast variety of courses available at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Candidates who have completed various specializations may be admitted to the following courses based on their merit from their bachelor's degree or 10+2 exams.

PhD Doctorate of Research program

1. Doctorate programs are available at SKDU, and applications are accepted beginning in April each year.
2. Students are admitted to these programs based on their merit and the scores they received on the "JRET" admission exam. Those who meet the requirements are invited to participate in a personal interview round, following which acceptance letters are provided to the chosen applicants.
3. Minimum 55% aggregate after graduation is required for eligibility (students in the reserved category are exempt by 5%).
   Note: Qualified candidates for SET/SLET (exclusive to the state of Rajasthan) or NET/JRF conducted by UGC/CSIR, New Delhi, are not required to take the entrance exam.
