Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva Viswavidyalay (MSSV) is a private university in Assam, founded in 2014 under the Assam Private Universities Act, 2007. It has two campuses, one in Nagaon and the other in Guwahati. The university's faculty is highly experienced and well-qualified, and each bachelor's degree program accepts 60 students, while each master's degree program admits 40 students.

B.A. (Bachelor of Arts):
Specializations: Assamese, Economics, English, Philosophy, Sociology
Duration: 3 years (6 semesters)
Eligibility: Must have completed 10+2 from a recognized board
B.P.A. (Bachelor of Performing Arts):
Specializations include music, dance, and drama.
M.A. (Master of Arts):
Specializations: Assamese, Economics, English, Philosophy, Sociology, Dance, Drama and Music, Law, Yogic Science and Naturopathy, Social Work
Duration: 2 years (4 semesters)
Eligibility: Must have a bachelor's degree in the relevant field
M.Phil. (Master of Philosophy):
Duration: 1 year
Eligibility: Must have a postgraduate degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 50% marks
Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy):
Duration: 3-5 years
Eligibility: Candidates must have cleared exams such as NET/SLET/ICAR/ICSSR/GATE or similar tests recognized by the university, or must pass the MSSV Research Admission Test (MSSVRAT).
Notes:
Candidates with an M.Phil. in the relevant subject or who have passed exams such as NET/SLET/JRF/SRF conducted by UGC, DST, ICAR, or CSIR are exempt from the entrance test for Ph.D. admissions.
Foreign students are also exempt from the MSSVRAT.

MSSV Assam Facilities Here are some facilities provided by the university:
Classrooms: Clean, comfortable classrooms with eco-friendly boards and some with Smart Boards and LCD projectors.
Computer Laboratory & Internet: A well-designed computer lab for 25 students at a time, with Wi-Fi access across offices and departments.
Library: Thousands of books, journals, magazines, and newspapers available. Open from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM on weekdays, including Saturdays before end-of-semester exams.
E-Library: A separate e-library for up to 14 people at a time, with access to the National Digital Library (NDL).
Auditorium: A modern auditorium with a 300-person capacity for seminars, competitions, and cultural events.
Common Room: Separate rooms for boys and girls with indoor games and rest areas, including separate toilets.
Sports & Games: The university has limited space for sports, so the Nagaon District Sports Association's Indoor Stadium can be used.
MSSV Assam Faculty
The faculty at MSSV are highly qualified and experienced. Most professors hold a doctoral degree in their subject, while others have postgraduate degrees and experience in their teaching fields. The current vice-chancellor is Prof. K.K. Deka.
