The Majuli University of Culture, located in Majuli, is planned to be a state institution focusing on art and culture education. Its main goal is to study and promote various aspects of culture and civilization to achieve excellence. The university will cover all aspects of culture, emphasizing vocational and professional learning, high-quality research, and training for social development and economic independence. With India's rich multicultural heritage in mind, including ideas, languages, religions, arts, and more, the university aims to be a hub of innovation and research, rooted in Indian values. Ultimately, it aims to equip citizens with the knowledge to navigate the challenges of the 21st century and beyond.

The University plans to expand as a diverse higher education institution focusing on Indian culture and heritage, aiming to become a top-tier university under India's New Education Policy. Its main focus is on studying and researching the rich cultural life of India, particularly in Assam and the North East region. Ultimately, it aims to offer a wide range of disciplines including liberal arts, basic sciences, and more, to cultivate well-rounded citizens equipped to address the complexities of the 21st century.

The University will offer undergraduate and postgraduate programs, along with research opportunities, in humanities, social sciences, folklore, language, literature, music, dance, arts, crafts, design, architecture, archaeology, and traditional health systems, among others. The goal is to establish India as a leading knowledge hub attracting learners from around the globe.
