The Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University is a state university located in Patiala, Punjab, India. It was established in 2008 by the Government of Punjab with the aim of promoting sports and games in the state. The university is named after Maharaja Bhupinder Singh, the former ruler of Patiala State.
The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in various disciplines of sports science and medicine. Admission to the university is through a entrance examination conducted by the university.
The university has well-equipped laboratories, library and other infrastructure facilities. It also has a stadium with a capacity of 5,000 spectators.
