Institute of Chemical Technology Marathwada Admissions 2024-25

Established on October 1, 1933, as the University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT) of the University of Bombay (now Mumbai), the institute aimed to advance India’s knowledge in chemical science and technology. Initially, UDCT operated under the University of Mumbai, gaining recognition and partial autonomy in 1985. Further elevating its status, it became the University Institute of Chemical Technology (UICT) on January 26, 2002. Achieving full autonomy in 2004 under the TEQIP of the World Bank, UICT received deemed-to-be-university status in 2008, endorsed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The institute, dedicated to education, training, research, and industrial collaboration in various domains, has held seven convocations to date (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018).
