Cotton University, located in Assam, was established in 2017. Cotton College was established over 116 years ago, but it was granted university status in 2017. The University operates independently to meet the rising needs of the educational system. Undergraduate courses include BA, B.Sc, and BCA courses. Graduates can pursue a variety of postgraduate courses, including M.Sc., MA, MCA, and PhD.
At the undergraduate level, there is a B.A. with 13 specialties, a B.Sc. with ten specializations, and a BCA for three years. Admission to the same is provided based on merit.
At the postgraduate level, the university provides an M.Sc. with seven specializations. To be eligible, candidates must have a B.Sc. degree with at least 50% marks. The M.A. program is divided into 14 disciplines.
Aside from the aforementioned programs, the institute also provides an MCA. To be eligible for the MCA program, students must have a BCA degree with at least 50% marks. Candidates must have completed Mathematics at the 10+2 level.

Apart from the
aforementioned programmes, the institute also provides an MCA. Students must have a BCA degree with at least 50% marks for eligiblity. Candidates must have completed Mathematics at the secondory (10+2) level.
