A private institution called FLAME institution was founded in Pune, Maharashtra, in 2007. Under the direction of Dr. Devi Singh, the former director of MDI Gurgaon and IIM Lucknow, the university was founded with the goal of breaking down barriers to traditional education and giving students a caring environment. Over 60 acres of lush land, it boasts a top-notch campus complete with amenities like dorms, a sports complex, a library, a canteen, a gym, a recording studio, a painting studio, and more. FLAME University was founded to provide students a nurturing environment by breaking down the barriers of traditional education, and it is led academically by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Dishan Kamdar, a former Deputy Dean, Academic Programmes, and Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Indian School of Business (ISB).
It provides two-year MBA courses at the postgraduate level in addition to three-year UG programmes in BBA, BA, and B.Sc. At the doctoral level, FLAME University also provides M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses.
- The FLAME Entrance Aptitude Test (FEAT), followed by a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI), is required of applicants for all UG courses.
- Candidates who pass the SAT are not required to take the FEAT test; nonetheless, they must participate in the GD and PI rounds.

Process of Selection
Academic merit, the results of the FEAT/SAT entrance exam, group discussions, and university-conducted personal interviews all play a role in the final selection. The outcome will be made public on the university's application portal.
Scholarship for University
A variety of scholarships are available from FLAME University to deserving and need-based applicants (based on applications and subsequent interviews). These scholarships come with complete or partial waivers of fees. The scholarships given to students are listed below.
- Merit Scholarship: The top-performing applicants receive a complete fee remission from the university at the time of acceptance. Scholarships will be awarded based on the final admissions test scores.
- Flame Fellow Program: Postgraduate students with GMAT scores of at least 650 or CAT/XAT scores above the 90th percentile are eligible for this grant. The program's winner will be qualified for a 100% tuition cost waiver. There will be awards given to twenty worthy students in total.
- Special Scholarship: FLAME University awards special rewards for outstanding all-round performers in diverse fields. A candidate will only be eligible for this scholarship if s/he holds a national level rank in either academics or sports.
- Emergency need-based support: This will be provided to the students who face a financial need caused by circumstances beyond their control. There has to be a loss of funding resulting from death, serious illness, or any other circumstance which makes it difficult for the student to generate funds on their own.
- Merit Scholarship for enrolled students: The students currently studying at the university are also rewarded based on their academic performance. To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must rank in the top 5% of their batch and have a minimum of 8.50 CGPA.
- Collage Board India Scholars Program in association with Flame University: Students in India who score 1300 or above on the SAT will be recognized as Top Performers by the College Board. Top Performers who demonstrate significant financial need, defined as family income less than INR 8,00,000 per annum, are eligible to receive a full tuition scholarship for the entire duration of their programme of study by College Board.

Steps to Apply to University
FLAME University has a standard application procedure for all UG and PG programmes.
- The initial step for the candidates is to register on FLAME University's official website.
- Establish the user account.
- After logging in, complete the application by selecting your chosen GD and PI centre options.
- Add your signature and a current passport-sized coloured photo to the following documents and upload them together:
- The 10th standard marking sheet
- The 10th grade (or above) getting a certificate of passing
- Standard XII (or its equivalent) grade sheet
- a copy of the 12th grade diploma (or equivalent) passing certificate and, if relevant
- a SAT scorecard
- Copies of any additional certifications that are required
