The government of Andhra Pradesh established the University, Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh, India, through a Legislature Act (No. 17 of 1997), initially receiving support for the integrated development of Dravidian languages and culture from the governments of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala.
The institution currently has 6 research centres in addition to 20 academic departments. It provides students with a range of UG, graduate, research, and distance learning programs.
Candidates can apply for entrance exams to be admitted to different courses by submitting an application to the university office. Each course requires its own application. The requisite entrance examination fees which are INR 350 for General/BC applicants and INR 250 for SC/ST/Differently Abled candidates, must be paid in the form of a Demand Draft (DD) to the university office by the candidates.
In order to offer high-quality distant learning, University's Directorate of distant Education was established in the Andhra Pradesh district of Chittor in 2008. It provides a wide range of UG, PG, and PG Diploma courses in different fields. DDE provides UG courses in B.A., B.Com., BBA, BCA, B.Lib, and B.Sc. and PG courses in M.A., MCA, M.Com, M.Sc., MBA, M.Lib, and PG Diploma. The results of the students' qualifying exams determine their admission to each of these courses. Forms for applications can be completed offline.

Admissions 2024 for UG at University
Dravidian University provides a number of courses in the arts, social sciences, commerce, and sciences at the UG level.
The institution provides a number of specialisations under the B.Sc. program, including computer science, statistics, botany, chemistry, microbiology, biotechnology, and mathematics. Each speciality has a 60-seat intake capacity.
The only factor used to determine admission is merit from the pre-degree course. Priority should be given to students who have studied and passed Chemistry, Physics, and Biology in the qualifying test for admission to the B.Sc. program.
Candidates must have studied and passed Commerce, Commerce/Arts, and Arts, respectively, to be admitted to the B.B.M., B.Com, and B.A. programs. There are 60 seats available in total for each course.

Admissions 2024 for PG Courses
The institution provides a variety of PG courses under several different specialisations. Candidates must take the university's entrance test, the University Common Entrance Test (DUCET), in order to be considered for postgraduate admission at Dravidian University. With the exception of the MBA and M.Ed, which have durations of 3 years and 1 year, respectively, all PG courses have a 2-year duration.
Those interested in MCA and MBA programs must take the Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET). The Ed.CET and PE CET will be used for admission to the B.Ed. and B.P.Ed. programs, respectively.

Admissions 2024 for Ph.D. & M.Phil
In addition to UG and graduate degrees, Dravidian University provides research programs like Ph.D. and M.Phil to students who wish to advance in their selected fields.
Applicants must appear for the university's entrance exam, the University Research Common Entrance Test (DURCET).
For admission, qualified candidates may also appear in GATE, UGC NET, SLET, or CSIR; however, passing the university's entrance exam is a requirement. Students are admitted based not only on their qualifying marks but also on their postgraduate grades.
Candidates who identify as SC, ST, or PWD may receive a 5% grade concession.

Admissions 2024 for Distance Programme
In addition, University provides a Distance Education Program for students who are unable to attend traditional universities. The candidates can select from a wide range of UG and PG courses with different specialisations under this program.
Candidates for UG study (Open System) only need to pass the university's eligibility exam, while students enrolled in undergraduate study (Regular System) must pass their 12th or any comparable exam. With the exception of B.Li.Sc, which has a one-year term, the period is 3 years.
The eligible candidates must complete their graduate studies and pass their degree from any university in order to be admitted to a PG program. The length of time varies based on the type of course.

Application Procedure at University
Candidates have the option of submitting their applications offline or online. You can apply to the university administration for admission to any of the courses. Each course requires its own application.
Candidates who have downloaded an application can submit it once it is complete and include INR 450 as a processing fee.
The form is also available to candidates through the Dean's office. In these situations, candidates must pay the INR 350 stipulated entrance examination fee (for General/BC candidates) and the INR 250 prescribed entrance examination fees (for SC/ST/Differently Abled candidates).
The payment for the fee must be made at Andhra Bank, University Branch, Kuppam (0001539), with a Demand Draft (DD) made payable to the "Registrar, Dravidian University, Kuppam."
A single application can be used for numerous courses by specifying which of the following two groupings of PG programs they want, in any sequence.
Group 1 includes Social Work, Library Science, Folklore, History, Philosophy, and Linguistics.
Group 2: Biotechnology and Biochemistry
Note: There will be a Common Entrance Test for each of the aforementioned 2 groups. Admission will be prioritised according to the disciplines taken for the qualifying degree.
