• An entrance exam is required for admission to a 3-year M.Tech program, and those who make the short list move on to the interview stage. To select applicants for the entrance exam and interview, the CSE department considers a number of factors, including the results of the GATE exam.
• The candidate is shortlisted for the written exam/interview phase after completing the application. After that, candidates are selected for final admission based on their interview and written test scores as well as their professional experience.

Admission to B.Des at University 2024

Eligibility for B.Des

Candidates must pass Class 12th and have a valid UCEED exam score in order to be considered for the University B.Des program.

Selection Criteria for BDes at University

The applicant must be eligible to take the UG Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) in order to be considered for admission to the University B.Des program. Based on the UCEED score, the candidate would be selected for the internal exam known as the DAT (Design Aptitude Test) administered by the institute. Those who make it through the DAT exam will be invited to the PI round.

Admission 2024 for M.Des

The results of the CEED exam determine admission to the IITH M.Des program. The CEED exam result is used by the institute to shortlist applicants for the PI round. Based on the combined results of the PI round and the CEED exam, the final list of selected students is created.

Eligibility for M.Des

• 4 years following a 12th education, a bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, design, or interior design, or an equivalent.
• Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT, or the 4-year equivalent following 10+2).
  After 12th, a 4-year professional curriculum leads to a B.F.A.
• G.D. in Art (5-year program following 10th grade), one year of post-qualification work experience Master's degree in Computer Applications, Arts, or Science, 2-year program following 10+2+3.
• In the qualifying exam, the candidate must have received at least 55% of the possible marks.

Selection criteria for M.Des

• In order to be considered for admission to university M.Des program, students must take the CEED exam.
• Based on the CEED score, the candidate will be placed on a shortlist for the Design Aptitude Test (DAT). The candidates are vetted based on their DAT results, and those who make the short list must attend a personal interview.
