Tezpur University is a Central University in Tezpur, North-Eastern Assam, India, established by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1994. It is a non-affiliated, residential Central University. The University offers a wide range of UG, graduate, doctoral, diploma, and certificate programs in a number of areas and specializations. The University's academic programs have a specific focus on science, technology, and the humanities, which reflects the University's mission. University Admission to all courses is dependent on an entrance exam (TUEE) administered by the institution. The university also takes JEE Main for B.Tech, CAT / MAT for MBA, and GATE for M.Tech entrance.

Admissions 2024 for UG Program
University's UG curriculum includes 4 integrated programs and 1 certificate course. The courses include Integrated M.Sc, Integrated M.Com, Integrated MA in English, Integrated B.Sc B.Ed, and a Certificate in Chinese degree. Complete 12th in Science/Commerce/Arts with at least 60% for eligible. Admission to these courses will be through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET).

Admission to University's M.Tech, MBA, and MCA programmes
Admission to University's MBA program in 2024 will be based on exam scores from CAT/MAT/XAT/ ATMA/ GMAT/CMAT. Graduates from any specialization are able to apply. A final merit list will be generated based on the candidates' performance in the qualifying degree, entrance test, and personal interview.
Admission to M.Tech and MCA programs is dependent on scores from University's entrance exam. GATE certified applicants will be excluded from university entrance exams for the M.Tech program.
The application for the MBA Program can be filled out online after paying INR 1000 (INR 500 for SC/ST/PWD/OBC) using Credit/Debit Card or Net-Banking.

Admissions 2024 for BA, B.Sc, B.Voc & B.Ed.
University provides Integrated BA-B.Ed and B.Sc-B.Ed programs at the UG level. It also provides B.Voc. and B.Ed. programs. Passing marks in 10+2 in the relevant group is the minimum requirement for Integrated and B.Voc programs. A B.Ed candidate must have graduated from a recognized university. To admit students to these courses, the university administers its own entrance exam.

University admits students with a bachelor's degree in the applicable discipline to M. Sc., MA, MTTM, and M.Com programs in a variety of specializations. Integrated MA/M.Sc and PG diploma courses are also available in a variety of specializations.

Admissions 2024 for Ph.D. Program
The university's School of Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management, and Science provides a variety of Ph.D. degrees. The minimum requirement is a passing Master's degree in the relevant subject. The university will admit students in the following categories: full-time, part-time, sponsored, and project fellows.
Admission is based on written test scores, which are then followed by a personal interview. The final selection will be based on academic performance and overall performance in the interview process. CSIR/UGC JRF-NET qualifying candidates must only present in the interview round.
