Nalanda Open University is a public distance-learning university in Bihar, India. Established in 1987, it has continually been regarded as one of the top universities for open and online learning. University has over 80 study centers across India and serves over 300,000 students through its varied courses and programmes. University is one of Bihar's top 10 colleges for B.Ed. The university accepts students both online and personal. Admissions 2024 for UG Program

University offers UG programs B.Ed., BLIS, BA, BA (Hons), B.Sc. (Hons), B.Com, BBA, and BCA. The minimum requirement is 12th in the relevant stream. Candidates for B.Ed. must have a Bachelor's degree with 45% grades and at least 2 years of work experience. The minimum requirement for the B.LiB. & I.Sc. program is bachelor's degree in any discipline.

Selection to all courses is dependent on performance in the qualifying examination. Candidates seeking admission to B.Ed. programs must take the B.Ed. - CET.

Admission 2024 for PG Program

The university provides M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., MJMC, MCA, and MLIS programs at the PG level. The minimal requirement for applying to these programs is a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. To apply for 2-year MCA program, the minimum need is a BCA/B.Sc. (in Computer Science) or a Bachelor's Degree with Mathematics as a subject.

Admission to all PG courses is based on the merit of the qualifying examination.

University Cutoff

The cut-off for admission to University (NOU) is determined by a variety of variables, including the candidate's performance in qualifying exams, category, and the number of seats in each course.

Generally, the cut-off list is released separately for each course offered by the university after completion of counseling process, usually 1 month after declaration of final result by Board/University or entrance examination conducted by University itself related to respective course taken up by applicant, which consists of date of examination along with cut-off marks required to be eligible for further processes regarding admission into respective course/program offered by
