Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University Admissions 2024-25

Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agriculture University (previously, Rajendra Agricultural University) is among India's 65 agriculture universities. It lies in the Samastipur District of Bihar, close to Pusa Bazaar.

Aside from the colleges of agriculture, fishery, and dairy technology, the university has 5 faculties in the fields of agriculture, veterinary & animal sciences, Agricultural Engineering, Basic Sciences, Humanities & Home Science. The institution provides 18 Ph.D. programs, 33 PG programs, and 6 UG degree programs. Additionally, it is the only university offering an MBA program in agribusiness. The scores from the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination are used to determine admission to the various courses that are offered (BCECE).

Various UG courses offers by University . Different specialisations are available for the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. ), Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc. ), and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degrees. There is 4-year period for every course. The type of specialisations selected by qualified candidates determines the intake capacity.

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) scores are used to determine admission to the above mentioned courses. Only those who fulfil the requirements for admission will be admitted by the university. Those that are interested in participating in BCECE can go to the official website.

Important points

  • Boys and girls will be able to apply to bachelor's degree programs. Only girl candidates may be admitted to Home Science.
  • If the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination is used to fill 85% of the seats, candidates must be either Bihar State citizens or permanent residents. However, students may be selected on an all-India basis for the remaining 15% of the seats.

Admissions 2024 for PG Program

The university provides a range of PG courses. Various specialisations are available for the Master of Science (M.Sc. ), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Master of Technology (M.Tech) courses. There is 2-year period for every course. The type of specialisations selected by qualified candidates determines the intake capacity.

A similar entrance exam administered by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board is required for admission to all 3 PG programs.

Note: The cutoff marks for admission to the Master's program in the merit list created based on the academic and entrance exam scores will be 45% for non-reserved, BC, EBC, and RCG candidates, and 40% for SC/ST candidates.
