Panjab institution (PU), commonly known as Panjab University Chandigarh. It is Established in 1882, it is one of India's oldest universities, noted for its outstanding teaching and research standards. University is ranked by various ranking agencies, including NIRF, Times Higher Education, and QS (Asia). The NIRF has ranked Panjab University 60th in the Overall University rankings category for 2024. Panjab institution is an AICTE-approved institution with 188 affiliated colleges in 8 districts of Punjab and the union territory of Chandigarh.

Panjab University admissions are made through an entrance exam administered by the university. PU CET UG, PUCET PG, PU MET, PU LAW, PUTHAT, PULEET, MBAUSOL, PU MPhil, and PhD Entrance Tests are used to admit students to the university's UG, graduate, and doctorate programs. PU provides UG, graduate, and doctoral degrees in the fields of arts, business management and commerce, design and fine arts, education, engineering and technology, languages, law, medical sciences, and science.

Some most popular courses at PU are BE/BTech, MBA, B.Sc, and LLB. Admission to BE/BTech is obtained through the JEE Main examination, followed by counseling. MBA, B.Sc, and LLB admissions are based on an entrance exam administered by the university. PU also accepts national-level entrance exams including as NEET UG, NEET PG, NEET MDS, and GPAT for admission to various degrees.

The university offers a variety of courses across various areas as part of the UG program. All courses are full-time and on campus. The university offers a variety of courses including B.E, B.Com, B.Sc, B.A, BHMCT, B.P.Ed, B.Ed, LLB, B.Pharma, B.Lib.Sc, and a few integrated courses. Regular courses such as B.A. and B.Sc. are offered in both Hons. and General categories. Students must complete 12th level or equivalent . The selection method is based on both entry and merit, which vary depending on the discipline.

Eligibility Criteria

• To be eligible for B.E courses, students must complete the 12th level with a PCM subjects.
• To be eligible for B.Ed, BCA, BBA, B.Sc, B.P.Ed, B.A + B.Ed, and BHMCT, students must have completed 12th with 50% marks .
• Students taking B.Ed. and LLB must have completed a graduating degree from a recognized university. 

Selection Process

• Candidates for B.E. admission must have a qualifying score in JEE Main.
• For B.Ed., B.Com, B.P.Ed, and B.A. Students considering B.Ed, B.Com, or LLB degrees must take a university-conducted admission or aptitude test.
  Students pursuing B.Sc or B.Pharma must have a valid PU-CET (UG) score.
• Applicants for LLB and BHMCT must have qualified results in both PU LLB and PUTHAT. 

Admissions 2024 for PG Program

University offers several courses in the PG program. All of the courses are offered full-time on campus. There are PG courses available in a variety of fields. M.E, M.Com, MBA, MCA, LLM, MA, MDS, M.Sc, M.Ed, M.P.Ed, M.Tech, MPH, MSW, M.Pharm, and M.Li.Sc are the PG courses offered. To be eligible, students must have completed Bachelor's degree in comparable disciplines from a recognized university. The university allows admission on both an entrance and merit basis. • To be eligible for PG courses, students must have completed a graduation degree .
• M.Ed. and M.PEd. students must achieve 50%.

Selection Process

• To be eligible for M.A, M.Sc, M.Ed, M.P.Ed, MPH, and M.E programs, applicants must pass the university's CET-PG with qualifying scores.
• Students must obtain a qualifying score on the MET in order to be admitted to an MBA program.
• Candidates for MCA and LLM programs must take the PU-CET admission exam.
• To be admitted to MDS, candidates must achieve a qualifying score in NEET MDS.
• Students must get a qualifying GATE score in order to be admitted to M.Tech programs.
• The university accepts valid CLAT scores for the LLM program. 

Admission 2024 for Ph.D. & M.Phil.

University offers M.Phil and Ph.D. courses in a variety of specializations. Students must complete their graduation with at least 55% aggregate marks in related disciplines from a recognized university. Admission to Ph.D. and M.Phil studies will be awarded based on a written test, followed by an interview conducted by the university. In addition to ordinary courses, the university provides PG Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, and Certification courses. All of these courses are offered in some specializations. These are full-time, on-campus courses. Students for the PG Diploma must have completed a graduate program from a recognized university, and applicants for the Advanced Diploma must have completed a diploma course in a comparable discipline. To be eligible for a Diploma or Certificate course, students must complete the 12th level. Admission to any of these courses is merit-based. Some specializations are listed below:

Admission Procedure 2024

The university provides online admissions. For the entrance procedure, students must complete the stages outlined below:

• Go to the university's official website and open the University Online Admission Portal.
  
• A new window will emerge, with a 'Apply for Admission' option. Students must click on that tab, register as a new candidate, and then log in using their credentials.
• Fill out the application form completely, including all required information, and pay the application fees online.
