Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya (IKSVV) is a University of Music, Dance, Fine Arts and Theatre. Established in the year 1956, it is situated in the Khairagarh township of Chhattisgarh.

Admissions 2024 for BPA, BFA and B.Voc Program

At the UG level, university provides BPA, BFA, and B.Voc in design. Applying for these courses requires at least 12th degree from an accredited board.

Applicants interested in doing research studies can apply for M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses. The M.Phil and Ph.D. programs are available in 6 specialisations.

The prerequisite for applying to M.Phil and Ph.D. programs is still a master's degree in the relevant field with at least 55% marks. Candidates who fall under the SC/ST and differently abled categories must meet the minimum requirement of 50%.

Ph.D. admission is determined by an entrance exam administered at the institution level, with interviews serving as the final selection process. The University Department in question uses the results of its aptitude test to determine whether candidates get an M.Phil.

Important Points:

  • Candidates who meet the requirements for UGC, CSIR NET, JRF, SLET, GATE, teacher fellowships, or who have earned an M. Phil are the only ones exempt from the admission exam.
  • Candidate may apply for Ph.D. even if they have not received 55% marks for their master's degree, provided they have at least a second division and 7 years of experience in research or teaching, as well as at least five research papers published in reputable research journals.
  • Only those faculties where the student has passed the qualifying exam or earned a PG degree are eligible to apply for Ph.D. programs.

Admissions 2024 for D.Litt.

In addition, university provides researchers with a D.Litt. course in areas of study that align with the university's general curriculum. Applicants must be scholars who have completed at least 5 years of study towards Ph.D. in the relevant field of study.

The candidate's chosen research topic and the university's approval will determine who gets selected. The university may suggest a new subject, approve, change, or add a synopsis for the existing one.
