Ambedkar University Delhi Admissions 2024-25

A state institution, University offers advanced study in the humanities, arts, management, design, film studies, and performing arts. This public university offers UG and PG programs in the social sciences and humanities and has a multi-campus, unified organisation. It also conducts research.

The university offers Ph.D., MA, MBA, M.Des., M.Phil., BA History, BA English, and BS Hindi. The 3 campuses of University are located in Kashmere Gate, Lodhi Road, and Karampura. UG admissions are determined by the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), which takes past exam results into account. Aside from that, admission to university PG degrees requires both merit and results from entrance exams. For MBA admissions, the admission criteria include a written exam followed by an interview. Candidates from the NCT are eligible for 85% of the seats at the University of New Delhi. 

Admissions 2024 for UG Program

Selection Criteria

Admission to University UG programs will be granted based on CUET results. The University UG Admissions Process begins shortly after the CUET results are announced. Applicants who fulfil the eligibility requirements and cutoff point set by the university will be contacted for counselling and, in certain cases, interview rounds. The shortlisted students are able to select the University colleges that best suit their needs by registering for counselling rounds following the release of the CUET results.

Exam Pattern for UG Program

Section I: This portion is further divided down into Parts IA and IB. In Section IA, candidates have to select 1 language from a list of 13 available languages, and in Section IB, they must select one language from a list of 20 languages.

SEction II: Candidates must select at most 6 domains from a list of 27 domains in this domain-specific portion. Since the domains will determine their university of choice, candidates should carefully analyse their options.

Section III: Candidates will be evaluated on a broad range of topics, including general knowledge, current affairs, general mental ability, numerical ability, logical and analytical reasoning, and quantitative reasoning, in this general test.

Admissions 2024 for PG Program

The University PG entrance is contingent upon meeting the requirements for admission, eligibility, placement on the merit list, medical suitability, original document verification, and other factors. The NTA releases the CUET PG scores for each program, and these scores are used to determine University's PG admissions. The University will announce the counselling schedule and merit list based on the CUET PG score and the other University-specific criteria following the NTA's announcement of the CUET (PG) result.

Eligibility Criteria

At least 55% (without rounding off) in the necessary disciplines in their master's degree from colleges or universities recognised by the UGC, AICTE, or NCTE.

Selection Criteria

  • Candidates who have been shortlisted through the details furnished in the application need to take the University Ph.D. admission exam.
  • Candidates who are shortlisted through the university entrance exam will be invited to a personal interview round for further consideration.
  • The entrance exam is waived for candidates who have passed the UGC / CSIR NET (JRF) examination, SET, GATE (with a valid score), or Teacher Research Fellowship.
  • Such candidates are eligible to apply directly for the university interview. The final merit list is compiled using a combination of entrance tests, interviews, and academic record scores.

Steps to Apply for University

The application process at University Delhi is online. However, candidates can also fill the form by visiting the university campus. The application process consists of 2 steps: Registration and Application. The application form can also be filled by visiting University (Kashmere Gate) campus. Staps for online application are given below:

  • Visit the official website of the university.
  • Click on the ‘Admission’ link and then ‘Online Application Form’.
  • Select  your desired course.
  • Enter your valid e-mail ID and click on ‘Register’.
  • A link will be sent to your ID containing the password.
  • Log in to AUD Online form with your credentials.
  • Fill the form carefully followed by document upload and fee payment.
  • Submit the form after payment of the fee.
  • Click on ‘Download report PDF’ to save a copy of the application.

The application fee can be paid in the following ways: 

1. Online: Fee can be paid through Credit/Debit card or Net-banking.

2. Payment by DD: Payment can be made by making a DD of the required amount in favor of “Ambedkar University Delhi”, payable at New Delhi.

3. Cash: Candidates can visit university campus and pay the fee by cash. They must enter fees receipt details in the online application form.

Note 1: In case of fee payment through cash or online mode, there is no need to send the hard copy of the application to the university.

Note 2: In the case of payment through DD, submit the hard copy of the duly filled form along with DD to AUD address.
