Delhi Technological University Admissions 2024-25

University provides various programs. For B.Tech admission, university accepts JEE Main scores; for M.Tech admission, it accepts GATE scores. In addition to B.Tech and M.Tech courses, university provides UG BBA, B.Des, and BA Hons degrees. Based on the candidates' UCEED scores, university admits B.Des candidates. The CUET UG Score is considered for admission to the BBA and BA Hons programs.

University provides M.Sc and MBA programs at the PG level, and Ph.D. programs are available at the doctoral level. University admits working professionals under continuing education as well as providing lateral access into its primary B.Tech program. Candidates must take the university's entrance exam if they want to be considered for admission through lateral entry into B. Tech programs.

Admissions 2024  for B.Tech

The premier B.Tech degree at university is available in 16 specialisations, including production and industrial engineering, computer engineering, electronics and communication engineering, etc. The most suitable candidates may also apply to university for admission to its B.Tech lateral entry program. On the other side, candidates who are NRIs, PIOs, or foreign nationals can apply for admission through DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad). For these students, admission would be based on their JEE Main results.

Admissions 2024 for BBA & BA (Hons)

University provides UG-level programs in BA and BBA. Delhi Technological University's latest campus, University School of Management & Entrepreneurship (USME), is situated in East Delhi. There are 182 places available at university for BBA students. The University BBA and BA program admissions details are listed below:

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

  • For the BBA, candidates must have earned 50% marks in 12th (or 40% for SC, ST, or PWD) with English as one of their core subjects. OBC-NCL and military personnel must receive 45% scores.
  • For B.A. (Hons): Candidates must have obtained at least 50% (or 40% for SC, ST, or PWD) in 12th, with English being one among the core subjects. OBC-NCL and military personnel must receive 45% score.
  • Admissions for BBA programs are made through the CMAC site. Candidates must register through the CMAC portal if they have a valid CUET UG score.
  • Final admission to the university BBA and BA programs is determined by the candidates' 12th score.

Admissions 2024 for B.Des & M.Des

4-year, UG-level B.Des program with 123 total seats available is offered by university. Admission to university B.Des is determined by UCEED scores. The Joint Admission Process at IIT Bombay will not include the DTU Bdes program in 2024–2025. Furthermore, university offers 2-year M.Des program in design, with three distinct concentration options. Admissions 2024 for M.Tech

At the PG level, University provides 2-year M.Tech program with a variety of specialisations. University also offers admission to Full-Time and Part-Time Sponsored M.Tech courses through an entrance test. The Institute will hold an admission test for candidates who do not meet the GATE qualifying requirements. Interested candidates may apply independently. Part-time and sponsored candidates are also eligible for admission to DTU's M.Tech program.

Additionally, University provides M.Sc admission in Biotechnology, Physics, and Mathematics courses. 40 chairs are allotted for each program. For entrance to the M.Sc degree, university accepts CUET PG scores.

Admissions 2024 for MBA

DTU's Delhi School of Management (DSM) and University School of Management & Entrepreneurship (USME) offer MBA programs in various specialisations. The university MBA program accepts 40 applicants.

 Eligibility and Selection

  • At least 60% in bachelor's degree.
  • Applicants must possess a current CAT/MAT scorecard.
  • The university MBA Program's final admission is determined by first looking at PI, then CAT/MAT scores.
  • Final admission to the university MBA program will be awarded based on the results of the university personal interview.

Admissions 2024 for EMBA

Additionally, university offers EMBA programs exclusively to working professionals. Candidates can apply to the DTU EMBA program if they have 2 years of job experience.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria:

  • Graduation from an accredited university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates).
  • For several specialised MBA specialisations, such as innovation, entrepreneurship and venture development, business analytics, and family business and entrepreneurship, the candidate must have at least 50% (40% for SC/ST/PWD) in any bachelor's degree.
  • Candidates for the EMBA program must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university with 50% (40% for SC/ST/PWD).
  • After completing 4 years of school, candidates should have at least 3 years of job experience (B.E., B Tech, B.Arch, etc.).
  • After completing three years of college, candidates should have at least 4 years of job experience (B.A, B.Sc., B.Com, BCA, etc.).
  • Final admission to the MBA Executive program is determined by the candidates' academic merit and job experience, and is followed by GD/PI.
  • The candidates that receive higher marks in their graduating degree will be given preference during the final selection process.

Admissions 2024 for Ph.D.

University provides Ph.D. programs in a variety of engineering, science, and humanities fields. Additionally, university offers Ph.D. admission through the AICTE Doctoral Fellowship and Quality Improvement programs. The PhD programs offered by university fall into the following categories.

  • Full-Time Research Candidates: Candidates who are fully funded by the government or semi-government organisations, or who work full-time, are eligible to be admitted under this category.
  • Candidates for Part-Time Research: Candidates with a valid JRF score and students working for organisations that have an MOU with the university are eligible to apply for admission under this category.
  • Applicants for R&D projects at University: Project personnel supported by an industry, government agency (UGC/DST), or centre established by the university (international agency) may be admitted under this category.
  • Candidates/Research Students Employed Regularly at university: Under this category, university Ph.D. admission is available to permanent academic staff members.
  • Professionals in the industry or workforce: Under this category, professionals in the industry or workforce are eligible for admission to the university Ph.D. program. 

Eligibility and Selection Criteria:

For engineering specialisations:  Candidates have master's degree in the relevant field of engineering or technology. Additionally, candidates must have at least 60% overall in their PG program.

For Management Specializations: Candidates should have a Master’s degree in Management/ Finance/ Business Administration/ Economics & Humanities from a recognized university with at least 60% marks in aggregate.

For Design: Candidates for Design must have at least 55% marks in their aggregate or, as judged by university, an equivalent CGPA.

For the humanities: Candidates must possess a master's degree in a pertinent field with at least 55% of the required marks, as determined by DTU's CGPA.

Final admission to the Ph.D. program at university is determined by the results of the screening exam and candidate interview conducted by university.
