Indira Gandhi National Open University Admissions 2024-25

University holds admissions sessions in January and July of each year. Every year, registrations for the January session begin in December and run through January, while those for the July session begin in May. The largest open university in the world, IGNOU provides more than 200 programs for distance learning. Since an IGNOU degree is regarded as equal to that of any other recognised university or institute, it is recognised globally for all courses completed.

UG, PG, Diploma, Certificate, and Ph.D. courses are currently offered by university. The majority of IGNOU courses offer admission based on merit, which is determined by the marks received in the relevant qualifying exam. Online Courses Admission 2024

At the UG and graduate levels, university now offers 41 Online Distance Learning (ODL) courses. All of these courses are offered entirely online. There are no personal classes that students must attend at their regional centre. The institution also offers online classes, which can be viewed online along with these courses. Additionally, admissions to these courses are held twice a year in the sessions of January and July. The selection process for these courses is based on the grades received in the qualifying exam.

Application Procedure 2024

It is recommended that all first-time applicants review the program's eligibility requirements, fees, duration, and other facts through the "Online Admission System" portal on the official IGNOU website before registering. The steps for online registration are listed below for candidates to follow:

Step 1: Go to IGNOU's official website and select the "Register Online" tab. Select "fresh admission" from the drop-down menu after selecting the tab.

Step 2: Clicking will open a new window with two options: "Click Here for New Registration" for newly registered candidates, and "Login" for registered candidates. Select the new registration if you are a first-time applicant. The following is how the new registration form will look:

Step 3: Return to the IGNOU admission portal and log in as the registered applicant to continue with the procedure after your registration was successful.

Step 4: The candidate must provide their personal information, program details, qualification data, course details, and communication details after registration by clicking the "Login" button.

The candidate needs to select the "Others" item if their subjects differ from those listed.
Candidates who meet the graduation requirements and above should enter "9999" in the "Board Code" field.

Fees and Refund Policy 2024 of University

Applicants must pay an INR 200 one-time registration fee to be considered for admission to IGNOU. The registration money is non-refundable under any circumstances, which students must be aware of. The institution will assess an entry fee for the first year or semester, depending on the program selected at registration, after the registration process is finished. On the other hand, a student has the option to request a return of fees from the university in order to rescind their admission.
