Indian Law Institute, New Delhi
The Indian Law Institute known as ILI, was founded in 1956. Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the country's first president, officially opened the institute in front of various dignitaries and judges. In 2004, the Indian government bestowed upon ILI the status of a designated university. The institute provides online certificate programs, Ph.D., PG diploma, and LLM programs. The Societies Registration Act has the institute listed as an independent body. The National Legal Centre and one of the best libraries in the nation are located within the NAAC-accredited institution.

Admissions 2024 at University
Considered for admission to any programs offered by ILI, applicants must apply online.
For the purpose of submitting the form and making the registration fee payment relevant to the course, one must go to the ILI website.
Only for Ph.D. programs, eligible students must attend the entrance exam and interview. Admission is determined by the grades received and the quality of their presentations.
Admissions for the PG Diploma programs are done based on the grades received in the qualifying examinations. Law graduates, CMAs, CS, and CAs receive an additional 5% of the weight.
Applicants for online certificate programs must submit the institute hard copy of their application.

Scholarships for Students
The institution awards scholarships in three main categories.
1) Academic merit
The first 2 students on the merit list of the 1-year LLM program's All India Admission test receive INR 30,000 per year.
2) Scholarly merit-cum-means:
For students enrolled in a one-year LLM program who are needy and sincere, the university may reimburse up to 5% of their tuition. The final choice is based on the director.
3) Gold Medals for Students Who Show Merit:
The students who have the greatest cumulative grade point average (CGPA) are given gold medals. They also need to have passed their exams on their first try and haven't had any disciplinary measures against them. The final choice is based on the director.
Facilities at University
One of the most well-known libraries in the nation is the Central Library. It is a component of India's National Digital Library. It has about 81000 volumes in it. 190 periodicals are received there with serial publications. Through OPAC, a digital database regarding the availability of books, journals, reports, and publications is available. Using features like the radio cum voice recorder, music player, Pearl instant reader, and JAWS talking software, it provides visually impaired learners with a well-equipped learning environment.
The Legal Information Research Centre (LIRC) was founded by the institute and is equipped with modern facilities computers, printers, and wireless access. The centre provides legal information on case laws, laws, constitutions, and legal publications. It also has access to URKUND and anti-plagiarism software.

Faculty of University
The faculty at ILI is well-known and exceptionally skilled; they hold master's and doctoral degrees in law. Prof. Dr. Manoj Kumar Sinha, the college's director head, has authored numerous works in national and international journals on various topics, including constitutional law, international human rights, and other related topics.
Mrs. Lotika Sarkar who was an Indian feminist and pioneer in the field of women Studies and Rights has also been a teacher at ILI.
Other faculty members have authored books and papers, served the country, and brought India's reputation abroad.
