Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences Admissions 2024-25

Students can apply for PDCC, PGCC, Ph.D., M.Ch, and Short Certification programs through ILBS Admission. The institute administers entrance exams to determine eligibility for different courses. The UGC India approved the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, an independent college that was founded in 2009. The Institute provides 6-month certificate programs in critical care and nephrology. Ph.D. program with three specialisations is also available. Online applications are accepted for the courses.

  • Admission to M.Sc Nursing at ILBS Nursing College is based on the written entrance test.
    For admittance into the DM and M.Ch programs, ILBS accepts NEET SS.
  • The selection process for the Ph.D. program consists of 2 phases: written exam and a departmental interview.
  • For qualified applicants, the institute also awards TATA fellowships without the need for an entrance exam.
  • To be considered for admission to any of the ILBS's programs, candidates must register online.

Eligibility:

  • Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences/ Clinical Nutrition:    M.Sc./MBBS/DNB/MS/MD. The candidate must have scored at least 60% marks in M.Sc. and 55% marks in MBBS.
  • PhD in Epidemiology of Viral Hepatitis and Liver Diseases:    BAMS/MBBS or BHMS or PG in Biomedical Science.

Selection Criteria:

Selection is going through 2 stages:

Step 1: Candidates who are eligible will take a written qualifying exam, a basic General Aptitude Test, which will be held in New Delhi.
Step 2: Those that make the short list will be invited to the Institute for an interview round. The final score of 100 will be divided as follows:

  • The candidate with 30-mark score who passed the NET exam 
  • Candidates with at least 6 months of previous research experience will receive 20 marks.
  • 10 minutes Research Presentation: 10 marks
  • Interview and faculty communication: 40 marks
