Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan is a Deemed University under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, located in New Delhi, India. To promote and expand Sanskrit literature, the designated university provides UG, graduate, and doctoral programs. Sanskrit literature is the focus of the university's B.A., M.A., B.Ed., M.Ed., Ph.D., and D. Litt programs.

Admissions 2024 to BA and MA Program

Sanskrit courses are offered by the university. University offers Shastri, an UG study that is comparable to B.A. Hons. The UG program lasts 3 years, and students must have at least 50% in 12th or its equivalent. The CUET scores are used to determine admission to University. Following the announcement of the CUET results, the admissions procedure begins.

BA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have completed Senior Secondary (12th grade in the 10+2 system) with Sanskrit from an approved Education Board, or they must have passed Madhyama of the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan or an equivalent test approved by Sansthan.

Selection Criteria

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is required for Central Sanskrit University's BA (Hons) Sanskrit program. Candidates will first have to go through the CUET method till the results are declared, and then they will have to fill up the Central Sanskrit application form through counselling sessions. When taking the CUET, candidates must select the following combination of subjects:

Application Procedure for BA

The university will use CUET scores for BA admissions. Candidates will first have to go through the CUET method till the results are declared, and then they must complete the Central Sanskrit application form through counselling sessions. To apply for Central Sanskrit, candidates can follow the steps outlined below.

Application Process for the CUET Exam.

Step IV: Confirm that the information you provided in the application form is correct. If not, then edit it.

Step V: Select the University and Program from the list of choices.

Step VI: Select the Test Paper / Subject(s) for CUET.

Step VII: Enter the language for the CUET exam.

Step VIII: Select the City option to be assigned the nearest city for the CUET test.

Step IX: Upload the required documentation.

Step X: Review the application form.

Step XI: Check all the checkboxes if the information you provided on the application form is correct.

Step XII: Pay the application fee online using a secure payment option.

Step XIII: Download and print the application form for future use.

The university bases its selection process on the marks obtained by candidates in the qualifying exams. The shortlisted candidates must go through an interview conducted by the university.

Admission to M.A. will be based on merit and performance in the interview.

Admission 2024 to B.Ed. and M.Ed.

The university offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Master of Education (M.Ed) programs lasting 1 and 2 years, respectively. Candidates seeking admission to B.Ed. and M.Ed. programmes must take 2 separate entrance exams. Candidates seeking admission to the B.Ed. program must take the CSSET, while applicants for the M.Ed. program must take the CSAET.

The eligibility standards for the M.Ed. programs are relaxed by 5% for candidates from the SC/ST categories.

Admission 2024 to Ph.D. and D.Litt Program

At the Doctoral level, the institution offers 2 research-based courses: Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Doctor of Literature (D.Litt) with various specialisations.

KeyNote:

• Candidates holding a valid score in NET/JRF/Lectureship test/SLET, or hold an M.Phil degree in Sanskrit/Education, are excluded from the CVVET admission exam.
• For SC/ST candidates, the eligibility conditions are relaxed by 5%.
