Delhi University Admissions 2024-25

Admissions to DU in 2024 for over 500 courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels are dependent on Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG/PG) scores. To get admitted to DU's premier institutions such as St. Stephens College, Miranda House, Hindu College, and others, students must obtain at least 700 to 800 points on the CUET exam. Admissions at University typically begin in May or June of each year. Last year, over 3 lakh students applied for UG courses, while over 11000 applications were received in the first round for PG admissions. University's acceptance rate is approximately 64%, as only top-scoring candidates are admitted.

Admissions Procedure 2024 at University

Step 1: Take the entrance examination.

Step 2: Register on the DU CSAS Portal and fill out the courses and college preferences.

Candidates who pass the entrance examination must register on Delhi University's Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Portal for seat allocation. Once registered, candidates will be asked to select their college and course options.

Step 3: Seating Allocation

Seats will be allocated in various rounds for all programs.  Admissions 2024 to Ph.D. Program

The University provides full-time Ph.D. program at the Doctoral level. The DU Ph.D. program is offered in various faculties and departments. Candidates for the Ph.D. must hold a Master's degree with at least 55% grades. Admission to the university Ph.D. program is divided into 2 phases. In Phase I, qualifying results will be used to give admission to UGC-NET (including JRF), UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF), AYUSH-NET, DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF, DST-INSPIRE, or comparable national level examination/fellowship (as determined by DRC), GATE/teacher fellowship holders, and other applicants.

 In Phase 2 of Ph.D. admission, all eligible students must take an entrance exam. The ultimate selection of all Phase 1 and Phase 2 candidates will be based on a personal interview performed by the appropriate department.
