Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar
The Central University of Gujarat was founded by an Act of Parliament of India No. 25 of 2009, known as the Central Universities Act (2009). Currently, the university comprises 11 Schools, 22 Centres, one independent Centre, and 66 programs of study. According to the NIRF 2016 rankings, university is placed 60th in India and 2nd best university in Gujarat, while the current NIRF 2020 Rankings of Universities in India place Central University among the top 50.

Admissions at University
Admission to the University is based on passing the entrance exam, since university has ruled that CUET will be necessary for all candidates, with no exemptions for UGC-NET (including JRF), UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF), SLET, GATE, or teaching fellowship holders.
Steps to apply
The Central University of Gujarat strictly follows to the UGC, MHRD, and Government of India rules governing admissions reservations, which may be changed by the authorities from time to time. The University will grant a travel subsidy for SC/ST and PWD candidates attending interviews for admission to various programs.
Scholarships for Students
The University provides Non-NET fellowships to its students, which are governed by the applicable regulations of UGC and any revisions thereto from time to time. It is granted to M.Phil. and Ph.D. students for 18 months and 4 years, respectively. Students are given INR 5000 per month with an annual contingency of INR 10000 for science subjects and INR 8000 for humanities and social science subjects. The post-metric scholarship is also accessible to Scheduled Tribe students at the university.
Facilities at University
Hostel: Due to the college's transfer to the new campus in Vadodara, there are just some seats available in the hostel. The option is available for both girls and boys, since university has rented buildings in the Gandhinagar region to act as hostels for enrolled students. Also, there are no distinct rooms available for foreign students, and they will be assigned based on availability.
Library: The University's Central Library is properly equipped to meet the needs of students and faculty members, with over 3000 printed books and 8000 e-journals available. The library features KOHA software as well as computerised library facilities. Because the University is Wi-Fi enabled, students can use the facility inside the Library, which is equipped with over 23 Pentium computers.
