Central University of Gujarat UG, PG Admission 2024: Form Last Date,Fees, Eligibility

The Central University of Gujarat (CUG), formed by the Parliament of India by the Central Universities Act (2009). With an effort to establish itself as a centre of excellence, CUG provides various courses under its 6 schools, which are:

• Social science
• International Studies
• Language, Literature & Culture Studies
• Chemical Sciences
• Life Sciences
• Environment & Sustainable development

The institution provides 2 UG courses, 18 PG courses, and 12 Ph.D. courses. The university conducts entrance tests for many courses. All courses are provided under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). Selection to these programs is also based on the results of the admission exam.

Admissions 2024 to BA Program

The university provides a 3-year B.A. in German Studies and Chinese through the Language, Literature, and Culture Studies program.

Note- The Category-wise breakup of seat reservation includes: Unreserved (50%) – 15 Seats; OBC (NCL) (27%) – 8 Seats; SC (15%) – 5 Seats; ST (7.5%) – 2 Seats; and EWS (10% up and above) – 03 Seats, and other supernumerary seats reserved as per Govt. of India Rules and Regulations and as amended from time to time.

Admissions 2024 to M.A & M.Sc Program

The University of Gujarat (CUG) provides 12 PG courses across its several disciplines over the course of 2 years. Admission to these undergraduate courses is based on a computer-based entrance exam administered by the university. No candidate is permitted to enrol in more than one full-time PG degree at the university. The eligibility criteria for all PG courses are stated below.

Selection Procedure:

• The university's admission test determines eligibility for the afove mentioned PG courses.
• The entrance exam will be administered online alone.
• Candidates who are in the last year of their qualifying test can also apply for admission.
• The list of selected candidates will be published on the university's official website.

Admissions 2024 to M.Phil & Ph.D.  

The institution provides Ph.D. and M.Phil doctorate programs in various specialisations. The university administers a computer-based entrance exam to determine admission to Ph.D. courses. Eligible candidates can apply by completing the application form available on the university's official website.

Selection Procedure:

• The university conducts computer-based admission exam to select students for Ph.D. programs.
• Pass the written admission test will be invited to the next round of interviews.
• Applicants who have have a UGC/CSIR/JRF qualification are not required to take the admission exam. They will have to attend personal for the interview.
• SC/ST candidates are eligible for 5% relaxation in the qualifying test.

Application Procedure for University Admissions

• The application forms and prospectuses for all courses are available on the university's official website.
• The application fees must be paid online using credit/debit cards or net banking.
• The application fee for the entrance test is Rs. 500/- for general candidates, with caste-based concessions available to OBC and SC/ST candidates.
• Candidates can apply for up to 3 courses using the same application form.
• The entrance exam will be administered at 40 locations across the country.
