Gujarat Ayurved University is the world's first Ayurveda university. It was founded in 1967 under an act approved by the Gujarat State Legislative Assembly in 1965. Gujarat Ayurvedic University is located in Jamnagar, Gujarat. It has a "A" rating from NAAC. The institute provides UG, graduate, doctoral, and diploma programs in Yoga, Pharmacy, and Ayurveda.

Admission 2024 to Certification, Diploma, Introductory Course and Post Graduate Diploma Courses
University also provides an introductory course in Ayurveda, as well as certification, diploma, and PG diploma programs in various disciplines. To be eligible to apply for the courses mentioned above, candidates must have passed 12th with at least 50% in aggregate.
Candidates for PG Diploma courses must have completed graduation/bachelor's degree in the appropriate subject(s) using the 10+2+3 system or an equivalent qualification with minimum 55% or comparable CGPA.
Candidates for certification courses must be registered medical practitioners in the AYUSH system, as well as registered medical graduates from modern medical systems/interns, PG and Ph.D. scholars of Ayurveda, or diploma holders in Ayurveda from any recognised institution outside India.
Selection is based on the scores obtained in the qualifying examination and the interview. The merit list for all categories will be generated based on the applicants' graduation marks. Applicants who meet the college's cut-off score will be invited to continue the admissions process.

UG Admission 2024
University, offers Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medical Sciences, Bachelor of Pharmacy in Ayurveda, and Bachelor of Science (Yoga) degree courses at UG level.
Candidates must pass 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as obligatory courses and achieve minimum 50% marks. Selection is based on the University's cut-off marks for the higher secondary (10+2) examination and personal interview.

Admission 2024 to PG Courses
At PG level, the University provides Master of Science degrees in Medicinal Plants, Master of Pharmacy in Ayurveda, Master of Surgery (Ayurveda), and Doctorate of Medicine (Ayurveda). Candidates wishing to apply for PG degree study at University, , must have a Bachelor's Degree in relevant branch or equivalent with at least 55% marks or an equivalent CGPA.
University selects applicants for M. Pharma and M.Sc courses using a Common Entrance Test (CET) and personal interview. Candidates for M.S. and M.D. programs will be selected based on NEET PG scores administered by the NBE.
The merit list for all categories will be created based on the candidates' NEET PG and CET scores. Candidates who meet the University's cut-off score will be summoned for the admission procedure.
The University will conduct counselling, and the names of candidates who meet the cut-off score will be transmitted to associated institutions and institutes to complete the admission process.
