Gujarat University UG, PG Admission 2024: Form Last Date,Fees, Eligibility

Gujarat University admissions in 2024 will be conducted through Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS), a consolidated admission site developed by the state government. Students seeking admission to University and its affiliated colleges must register through the GCAS portal . The registration fee is Rs 300. Admission offers will be determined depending on the candidate's performance in the qualifying exam and the preferences they have filled out.

National-level assessments such as NEET, CMAT, and GATE are used for admission to students to BDS, MBA, and M.Tech programs at universities. The fundamental eligibility criteria are 12th pass with at least 45% marks for UG courses and bachelor's degree with 50% marks. University also offers diploma and certificate courses. The institution has also developed a Study Abroad Program, where students from all over the world are invited to learn about Indian culture, tourism, languages, journalism, etc.

Admission 2024 to PG Program

The university provides PG programs in various specialisations, including Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, and Social Science. Admission to PG courses is based on merit. However, admission to several PG degrees is based on results gained in national level entrance tests such as CMAT, GATE, and so on, followed by counselling. To be eligible for admission to PG studies, the applicant must have Bachelor's degree in a suitable discipline. Admission 2024 to Ph.D. Program

The university offers Ph.D. programs at the research level in subjects such as arts, science, commerce, management, and law, with 3-5 years. The primary requirement for entrance to the Ph.D. program is PG degree. Selection to the Ph.D. program at University is based on the results of an admission examination followed by an interview. University Ph.D. qualifying criteria and selection process are listed below:

Application Procedure at University

University admissions year 2024-25 will be conducted through the Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS), a consolidated admission site developed by the state government. The admission procedure for University and its associated colleges is as follows.

Step 1: Register on the GCAS Portal.

Candidates seeking admission to UG and graduate programs at University and its affiliated colleges may register online via the GCAS portal.

• For the initial registration, students must enter their name, date of birth from their HSC marksheet, mobile number, and email address.
• Students can log in using the email address and password they set during the original registration process. After that, fill up all of the personal and academic details as shown on the Marksheet and Category Certificate, and submit the appropriate documents:          
• Applicant must have latest Photo and Signature with maximum size of 50 K.B
• (JPG/JPEG Format).
• Applicant must have below documents with maximum size of 200 K.B. for
• complete application fill-up.
• All Mark-sheets of Qualifying Exam (If Original Mark-sheet is not
• available, you can upload copy of online mark-sheet)
• School Leaving Certificate(Optional)
• Caste Certificate
• Non-Creamy Layer Certificate of Valid Period
• Differently Abled Certificate 
• EWS Certificate
• After uploading all documents, candidates must select a college, program, and medium of study for University from the list provided on the website.
• After validating all of the details, press the lock button and submit the application form with a registration fee of INR 300.

Step 2: Fill in your preferences and rearrange your options.

Candidates who selected  University college/program/course must log in with their credentials and pick the GU preference portal to rearrange their admission preferences based on merit and category on a specific date/period. (Those who do not rearrange their choices according to their preferences will be assessed based on the data provided by the GCAS portal for admission allotment).

Step 3: Provisional Admission Offer.

University will issue preliminary admission offer letters to candidates based on their qualifying exam scores, seat availability, and college and program preferences entered during registration. Students can obtain the admission offer letter on the GCAS webpage. Students can only download one offer letter per course (program) for which they have applied. 

Step 4: Report to the College

After downloading the admission offer letter, students must report to the appropriate college with all original papers, copies, and the Admission Offer Letter of the given college. Candidates from other than Gujarat State must get a Provisional Eligibility Certificate (PEC) from University.

Step 5: Document Verification & Admission

The college will verify the student's original documentation and marksheets. If all documents and mark-sheets match and are confirmed to be correct, including filled-out data and merit rank, the candidate will be awarded admission after paying the entrance fee.

The university offers various UG courses in areas such as arts, science, commerce, management, and social science. Selection to these degrees is only merit-driven, whereas admission to the BDS program is based on NEET scores and counselling. Candidates must have 12th or Bachelor's degree.
