Hemachandracharya North Gujarat University (HNGU) is a Public Sector University, established in the year 1986 in Patan, Gujarat. The University has 244 affiliated colleges across the state. It offers UG, PG and M.Phil & Ph.D. courses along with PG Diploma in various disciplines. Application form for all the courses offered by university is available on the official website.

• Admission to BA, B.Com, B.Ed., BBA, BCA, B.Lib.I.Sc, BJMB, BRS, BSW, LL.B and B.Sc is offered on the basis of marks obtained in 12th.
• For B.Arch, the candidates have to qualify in NATA conducted at All India level.
• B.P.Ed and B.Ed. admission is offered on the basis of marks in university-based entrance test.
• Admission to MA, M.Com, MCA, MSW and PG Diploma courses is based on the marks obtained in Graduation.
• For M.Pharm, the candidates have to qualify in PGCET conducted by Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC).
• MAT qualified candidates can apply for MHM program. HNGU also conducts an entrance test to offer admission in this program.
• For Master is Urban Planning course, the university conducts an entrance test followed by counselling.
• MBA program requires a valid score in CMAT.
• Admission to M.Sc, LL.M and M.Ed courses is offered on the basis of university-based entrance through centrallized admission.

At UG level, university provides BA, B.Sc, B.Com, LL.B, BCA, BBA, B.Com, BSW, B.Voc, B.Ed, and B.P.Ed courses, as well as B.Arch in various subjects. The minimum requirement for all courses is 12th. Admission is based on merit, which is determined by candidates' 12th exam results. Admission to B.P.Ed and B.Ed programs is dependent on university entrance requirements.

The university also provides B.Arch program, with admission based on NATA scores.

Bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement for admission to PG studies. Admission is based on merit, with the exception of MUP, M.Ed, and M.P.Ed courses, which require a special entrance test followed by an interview.

M.Pharm admittance is based on a valid score in ACPC's PGCET. MBA admission is based on the CMAT score. University also offers an MHM course, to which entrance is based on MAT scores.

• Candidates for PG programs must have completed their Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks.
• Science candidates must have graduated with at least 55% .
• The baseline criteria for SC/ST candidates is relaxed by 5%.

Admissions 2024 to Ph.D. Program

University provides M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs in various specialisations at the Doctoral level. Admission to these programs requires candidates to pass an entrance exam administered by the University. The program requires Master's degree with an overall grade point average of at least 55%.

The University will conduct the entrance exam. Candidates who pass the written test may be required to attend a screening round. The merit list will be published only on the University's official website.

The university's application process is only online, with the exception of Ph.D. The steps to apply for the courses are as follows:
