Nirma University Admissions 2024-25

University offers students to traditional degree programs and online certificate courses through 11 institutions or departments. University's application form is available online on the official website. The application costs at Nirma University vary according to the course selected. However, the university charges a standard registration fee of INR 1,000. University offers students in 4 categories: All India, Gujarat State, NRI/NRI (Sponsored), Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries and Southeast Asia (CISWA-SEA), and PIO & Foreign Nationals (FN). 

  • University B.Tech admissions are based on JEE Main (All India Candidates) and GUJCET (Home State Candidates) results.
  • University admits MBA students based on their CAT scores, followed by PI and Theme Development & Presentation Round.
  • University offers B.Des students based on their scores in the UCEED or Design Entrance Test (NU-DET), which is conducted by the university.

Admissions 2024 to B.Tech Program

To apply for B.Tech at University, students must have completed 12th in Science with minimum 45%. University offers 1020 seats for B.Tech students. The tuition fees for B.Tech is INR 2,29,600 per year.

Candidates must have completed the 12th exam with minimum 45% in PCM.

Selection Criteria
Admission to B.Tech programs would be based on performance in JEE Main (All India Category) and GUJCET (State Quota Candidates), followed by ACPC counselling.

  • The university has allocated 52% seats for All India Quota students based on their performance in JEE Main Paper 1. The merit list will be created using the All-India Rank (CRL) of Paper I of the JEE (Main) Entrance Examination, as released by NTA.
  • 33% seats are filled by ACPC Gujarat.
  • Eligible students must apply for online counselling according to the schedule provided on the university's official website. If required, offline (in-person) or telephone counselling will be done following the completion of online allotment rounds.

Admission 2024 at University

The university provides an MBA in general, human resource management, and family business & entrepreneurship. For MBA must first complete 3-year bachelor's degree with at least 50% overall. The annual fees for an MBA in the general category is INR 6,04,800. The first-year tuition fees for MBA in Family Business and Entrepreneurship is INR 4,83,800.

Admission 2024 to M.Tech

The university provides M.Tech (Regular and External) courses in various fields over the period of 2 years. M.Tech admission is based on GATE, whereas applicants who have not taken the GATE test are picked through University Entrance Test. University's M.Tech fees is INR 1,33,400 each semester.

Eligibility Criteria:

A B.E./B.Tech degree with at least 50% marks is the primary requirement for M.Tech.

Selection Criteria :

Candidates with a valid GATE score will be given priority for admission. However, the university also administers an All India Written Test to other applicants. The written test will follow the same syllabus as the GATE examination, including objective-type questions. The exam will last one hour.

In the event that GATE candidates have similar scores/marks as other applicants who have qualified for the Nirma University Entrance Test, the following factors will be utilised to determine merit rank.

  • Percentage of qualifying exams depending on which class is given a degree.
  • Percentage of 8th semester qualifying test (B.E. or B.Tech degree).
  • If the results are pending, the percentage of 7th semester in the qualifying test (B.E. or B.Tech degree).
  • Date of Birth (Candidates who are older will be given precedence).

Admission 2024 to BA LL.B. (Hons.)/ B.Com LL.B. (Hons.)

The university provides integrated LLB courses at UG level. Students can apply for admission to the BA LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Com LL.B. (Hons.) programs using their CLAT results or by taking the Institute of Law, Nirma University (ILNU) test. The applicant must have completed 12th with at least 45% in aggregate. University's BA LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Com LL.B. (Hons.) programs have annual tuition fees of INR 3,25,000.

Selection Criteria :

Candidates who have passed the CLAT will be given preference for admission to BA LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Com LL.B. (Hons.). Additionally, students who have not taken the CLAT or any other law examination must take the ILNU test.

Admissions 2024 to B.Com (Hons.)/ B.Arch/ B.Pharma/ B.Des

The university provides full-time UG degrees in B.Arch, B.Pharm, B.Des, and B.Com (Hons.). The primary eligibility requirement for applying to courses is that the candidate have completed 12th. Admission to B.Com (Hons.) and B.Pharm is completely merit-based. Candidates for B.Arch and B.Des admissions can submit NATA and UCEED results, respectively.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • To be eligible for B.Com (Hons.) at University, 12th with English as a subject, as well as any of the following subjects: Accountancy, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics, with at least 60% marks.
  • To apply for the B.Arch course, 12th with Physics and Mathematics as obligatory courses, or a 10+3 diploma with Mathematics, with at least 45% aggregate grades.
  • To apply for B.Pharm, 12th in Science with minimum 45% marks.
  • To be eligible for the B.Des program, 12th or 10+3 Diploma authorised by the State Board of Technical Education with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

Selection Criteria:

  • The merit list for B.Com (Hons.) students is based on 12th scores. If two or more applicants have the same aggregate percentage score for the 12th test, their English paper scores will be evaluated. The applicant who scored higher on the English paper will be given precedence.
  • University B.Arch admission is based on NATA results. Under the B.Arch course, the university has allocated 33% of the seats for ACPC, 52% for All India applicants, and 15% for NRI/sponsored students.
  • University offers 85% reservation requirement for ACPC students for B.Pharm, with 15% allocated for NRIs. The merit list will be created based on academic achievement.
  • Students will be accepted based on UCEED results or the Design Entrance Test conduct by University. Once the candidate has received a valid score on the relevant test. The interview round for UCEED candidates will take place offline. NU-DET/ UCEED results will be weighted 60%, with offline scenario tests and personal interviews receiving 40%.

  Admission 2024 to BBA-MBA

The university also provides an integrated BBA-MBA program. Admission to BBA-MBA is based on IPMAT scores, followed by an interview and performance in 12th. The final merit will be decided by the following criteria:

  • Weightage of IPMAT score: 50%.
  • Personal interview performance is weighted at 30%.
  • Academic achievement at 12th: 20%

Selection Criteria :

Candidates will be evaluated based on their performance on the IPMAT, followed by a personal interview.

Admission 2024 to MCA/ M.Pharm/ M.Sc/ M.Arch/ LL.M.

The university also provides MCA, M.Pharm, M.Sc, M.Arch, and LL.M. programs at PG level. MCA admission is through ACPC, while M.Sc entrance is based on a written test conducted by University. LL.M. entrance is based on PG CLAT results, followed by an interview. Students who did not qualify for CLAT must take the Institute of Law, University Test (ILNU Entrance Exam).

Eligibility:

  • Candidates for MCA must have graduated.
  • B.Pharm from an institution recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
    University provides master's degrees in biotechnology, biochemistry, and microbiology. Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% overall.
  • University provides an M.Arch degree in Urban Design.Bachelor's Degree in Architecture with at least 50% may apply for admission.
  • The fundamental qualifying conditions for an LL.M. at University are that the candidate must have completed 3 years of LL.B. following graduation or 5-year integrated law degree with at least 50% in aggregate.

Selection Criteria:

  • Candidates must have a valid CMAT score to apply for MCA admission, which is followed by ACPC counselling.
  • Students having valid GPAT results will be given priority for M.Pharm admission. Candidates who have not taken the GPAT must sit for a National Level Online Entrance Exam on the day of counselling at University campus.
  • University admits M.Sc. students based on university entrance exams. The test will be based on the UG syllabus for Life Sciences and Chemistry. There will be 100 objective-type questions for 100 marks. The test lasts one and a half hours. There will be no negative markings.
  • Admission to the M.Arch program is dependent on graduation.
  • CLAT PG or ILNU results are considered for LL.M. programs at the university.

Admission 2024 to Ph.D. Program

The university provides full-time and part-time Ph.D. courses in 6 disciplines: engineering and technology, management, pharmacy, science, law, and architecture and planning.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have completed a master's degree or equivalent with at least 55% aggregate marks or 4-year bachelor's degree program with at least 75% aggregate marks or an equivalent grade. 

Selection Criteria:

Candidates must take University Entrance Test, which has a minimum cutoff of 50%. The Entrance Test syllabus will consist of 50% research methodology and 50% subject-specific questions.

Candidates who qualify for the UGC-NET (Including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (Including JRF)/GATE/GPAT with a valid score in terms of cut-off marks and time are excluded from taking the entrance exam and are considered eligible for a personal interview. The final selection will be made using a weightage of 70% for the entrance exam and 30% for the viva voce.
