Rashtriya Raksha University UG, PG Admission 2024: Form Last Date,Fees, Eligibility

India's first internal security institute, was established in 2009 by the Gujarat government in Ahmedabad by 'The Raksha Shakti University Act, 2009'.  UG studies at University include B.A. and B.Tech programs. At PG level, it provides MA, LL.M., M.Sc., and M.Tech programs in various specialisations. The university also offers M.Phil and Ph.D. research degrees. The institute also provides 1-year diploma degree, 3-month certificate course in photography, and PG diploma.

• Candidates can apply for all courses either online or offline.
• For diploma and certificate courses, 12th with at least 50%.
• For the PG Diploma, bachelor's degree with at least 50% is required.
• Merit will be used to select students for diploma, certificate courses, and PG Diploma programs.
• To apply for the BA in Security Management program 12th is must.
• To apply for B.Tech., the candidate must have studied Physics and Mathematics in their 12th grade, disciplines, and have obtained 45% marks.
• Admission to the BA Security Management course will be based on the qualifying exam result.
• Candidates for the B.Tech program must have a valid JEE Main or GUJCET score.
• MA, LLM, M.Sc., and M.Tech. applicants must have a graduating degree.
• Admission will be based on the scores obtained in the qualifying examination.
• M.Tech selection will be based on a valid GATE/GPAT or PGCET result.
• To apply for a doctoral degree, M.Phil., or Ph.D., the candidate must hold a master's degree discipline with at least 55% marks.
• Candidates having UGC (NET/JRF), CSIR (TRF/GRF), ICSSR, GSLET/GATE/CAT/BPR&D would be selected for M.Phil on the basis of merit. If the candidate did not complete any of these exams, he or she must sit for a university-conducted admission exam.
• Similarly, Ph.D. candidates will be selected based on their UGC-JRF, CSIR-JRF, CSIR-NET, SET/SLET, GATE, or M.Phil. degree. Those who did not complete the previously mentioned examinations will be subjected to an entrance exam.
• After being selected at the entrance exam level, all candidates must pass an interview to be admission to M.Phil and Ph.D. programs.

Fees of Courses

Admission 2024 to  BA and B.Tech

University provides B.A. in Security Management and B.Tech. in Cyber Security at UG level. Candidate must have 12th with 50% marks for BA and 12th in the Science stream for B.Tech. BA selection is based on merit, whereas B.Tech students must have a valid score in JEE Main or GEJCET.

• B.A. courses are offered in both English and Gujarati.

Admission 2024 to MA, M.Tech, M.Sc. & LL.M

The University offers number of PG degrees, including an M.A. in Criminology, an MA in Police Administration, an L.L.M in Crime and Security Laws, an M.Sc. in Forensic Science, and an M.Tech. in Cybersecurity. To apply, for graduation degree in MA, an LL.B degree for LL.M, a graduation in science stream for M.Sc., and B.Tech/B.E. degree with at least 50% marks in a computer-related field for M.Tech.

The selection of applicants for MA, LL.M., and M.Sc is based on their performance on the qualifying exams. M.Tech selection will be based on a valid GATE score. Candidates who have not submitted a GATE score will be admitted based on their PGCET scores.

Admission 2024 to Diploma

The institute provides UG Diploma Certificate course in Photography, and 3 PG Diplomas with a limited number of places. Admissions will be determined only on the basis of merit.

Candidates seeking admission to UG Diploma and Certificate courses must have completed their 12th grade with at least 50% marks, and for PG Diploma, they must have Bachelor's degree.

Key Points:

• If the number of application forms exceed the required number, the institute will organise a screening test.
• Fee for in service personnel and female candidates is half fees for certificate course.
• Diploma in Police Science is only taught in Gujarati.

Admission 2024 to M.Phil and Ph.D.

University offers several research programs viz. M.Phil in Criminology, Police administration and Ph.D. in Law, Criminology, Psychology, Cyber security, Internal Security Management. Students must have a Master’s Degree in the concerned discipline with at least 55% marks and 50% marks for backward class students.

Final selection of eligible candidates will be based on score of any of UGC-NET, UGC- JRF, CSIR-JRF, CSIR-NET, SET/SLET or GATE or entrance test and their performance in interview. Candidates who have invalid scores in above mentioned test can appear in RRU entrance test.

Application Procedure 2024 at University

The admission procedure of university is both offline and online.Candidates can get the application form either from the university or can download it from the university’s website by paying fee. Eligible candidates have to follow the subsequent steps to apply to the university:

OFFLINE:

For all the courses (except Ph.D.)

Option 1

 1. Click on the official website of the university.

2. Fill the application form by putting the relevant details.

3. Get a DD of the respective amount made, in the name of “Registrar, Rashtriya Raksha University, payable at university and send it along with the application form.

4. The application forms have to be sent to the university in person/courier/ post.

5. Also mention the course name for which you are sending the application form .

Option 2

A candidate can get the application form by post also by sending a DD of the relevant amount, payable in the name of “Registrar, Rashtriya Raksha University,” payable at Ahmedabad, along with a self-address envelop of size 11”X5” with a postal stamp of INR 5.

Also mention the course name on the self-address envelop.

Application forms can also be filled and submitted through the online mode on the official website.

• The first page of the pdf will be the application form that the candidate has to fill and on the second page all the information such as eligibility, selection procedure, application procedure,etc. will be elaborated.
• Please read the instructions carefully before filling the application form and prepare all the necessary documents.
• Now fill all the relevant details carefully.
• Make the necessary enclosures and send them along with the application form and the application fees of INR 1000/- in cash or in the form of DD, in favour of "The Registrar, Rashtriya Raksha University” payable at Ahmedabad.

Reservations Policy 2024

1. All the SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates will be given 5% relaxation marks in all the subjects. 

2. Relaxation to female candidates, National level participants in sports, athletes played at state level and holders of NCC certificates is 5%, 5%, 3% and 7% respectively in marks.

3. Extra 5% marks will be deducted for students who have cleared the qualifying exams in more than one attempt.

4. 50% fees will be reduced for the girl candidates, under most of the courses.
