Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya Admissions 2024-25

The Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya (BPSMV), popularly known as Bhagat Phool Singh Women's University, was founded in August 2006 by the Government of Haryana in Village Khanpur Kalan, District Sonipat. It is the first women's state university in Northern India. This institution was founded on the desire of Bhagat Phool Singh (1885-1942), who established a Gurukul for ladies in 1936. After achieving the status of a Government institution, the institution grew into a modernised educational platform with overall strength of 7000 females. 

The university offers UG, PG, and doctoral programs in disciplines such as engineering, law, management, commerce, pharmacy, rural entrepreneurship development, economics, hospitality and hotel administration, social work, education, applied sciences, courses in various modern languages, and ayurveda.

With the exception of the Regional Centres in Kharal and Lulla Ahir, admission to all courses and programmes is completely online.

Important Points:

  • If the Physically Handicapped Quota is not filled, reserved seats will be allocated to Ex-Servicemen and their wards (1%), as well as Freedom Fighter dependents (1%).
  • The availability of reserved seats in each category can vary if the Haryana government makes any fresh adjustments.
  • There is a designated seat in each course for applicants from Bhainswal Kalan who have contributed land. In programs with more than 50 participants, there will be one additional seat for each block of 50. These seats are allocated to categories in a rotational order, beginning with General and progressing to the remaining categories.
  • Each programme at BPS Mahila Vishwavidyalaya has 2 seats designated for females from Khanpur Kalan Village.
  • The Ph.D. programme includes 15% seats designated for students from foreign nations who wish to apply for admission to the institution, while one seat is available for an individual who passes the entrance exam and is also employed by the university.

Admission 2024 to UG Program

  • English is the medium of instruction for UG courses.
  • All courses need students to have finished Senior Secondary School with a particular minimum percentage of grades.
  • Certain degrees, such as B.Tech (Fashion Technology), do not need Lateral Entry and instead assess students' performance in the Lateral Engg. Entrance Test (LEET). B.Pharm Lateral Entry take admissions only candidates with a Diploma in Pharmacy from a PCI-approved institution.

  • Courses such as M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering, M.Tech. in Network Security, and M.Tech. in Fashion Technology - Functional Garments do not admit working professionals (full-time/part-time/honorary service) and do not consider them eligible for admission unless they submit proof of leave granted by their institute/office for the duration of the course. If the document supplied violates the University's rules and conditions, her admission will be immediately terminated.
  • The University also take admission to Lateral entrants to MBA programs, where students must have a graduate degree.

Admission Procedure 2024 

  • The candidate can apply online through the University's website or by submitting documents to the University Admissions Department.
  • Candidate must provide the information required and select the 'Proceed' option. This will supply the candidate with login credentials for their mobile phone and email address.
  • With the credentials, the applicant can log in and enter the information provided to apply for the course of interest. If an applicant applies to more than one course, the application fees will be calculated based on each course's fee.
  • After completing the application form, an online receipt will be issued when you pick the payment option on the page. The candidate must print out a copy of the e-challan receipt and pay the charge at an HDFC bank.
  • The notice for fee submission will be shown on the candidates' login page.
    Once the deadline for submitting applications has passed, applicants will be able to view a Tentative Merit List on the website. This list will also be posted on the notice boards of the relevant departments.
  • The candidate should refer to this list and visit the University for document verification. This list is subject to change in case the required documents are not completed or of false nature.
  • Once the document verification procedure is completed, the university will offer final approval for the Fee Category.

Scholarships for Students

The institution offers scholarships to students in order to give financial support and encourage study through various methods. The following scholarships are offered for qualifying students:

  • University Merit Scholarship:  The goal of this fellowship program is to help students who are unable to go after higher education owing to financial constraints. Students' parents should be Haryana natives. If a student fails to pass the university's yearly promotional exams, the scholarship is considered terminated.
  • University Merit cum Means Scholarship:  This fellowship scheme is particularly developed for individuals from Haryana's Minority Communities whose parents' yearly income is less than 2.50 lakhs.
  • Promotion of Science Education (POSE) grant plan for students studying UG and graduate degrees in science: This scholarship needs students to have 85% in senior secondary school or 75% in graduation. The application form may be completed online. The last day to complete the form is September 19, 2016.
  • Haryana State Council for Science and Technology (HSCST) Fellowship Program for Students Doing Ph.D. in Science Subjects:   The Haryana State Council offers this scholarship to applicants pursuing study in the fields of science and technology. Candidates must have applied for CSIR-JRF and passed the CSIR LS NET in the CSIR-UGC Test for JRF and LS (NET) for full-time research in a Ph.D. program. This is granted to candidates for 3 years; however, if candidates is eligible, the fellowship will be extended to the 4th and 5th years as well.
