Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University provides UG, graduate, and doctoral programs in variousdisciplines. Agriculture, science, engineering, arts, commerce, and management are 5 streams.

CCS HAU has been approved by both AICTE and UGC. Agriculture is the university's most popular faculty. This university is one of Asia's top agricultural universities. University comprises 6 constituent colleges and one Food Science and Technology Centre.

The college's UG program includes B.Sc (Hons.), B.Tech, B.Tech (Lateral), and Diploma+B.Sc (Hons.) and B.F.Sc courses are available in various specialisations. To be eligible, students must have completed 12th or equivalent degree with at least 50% aggregate grades. Students pursuing B.Sc courses must take the Agriculture Aptitude Test. Applicants for B.Tech courses must pass the JEE MAIN exam. 

The institution offers PG curricula in various specialisations. M.Sc, M.F.Sc, M.Tech, and MBA courses are available in full-time, campus-based formats. To be eligible for any of these courses, students must have completed a graduating degree in a related discipline from a recognised institution. The GATE entrance test is accepted for admission to the M.Tech course by the institution. The university conducts CET for M.Sc and M.F.Sc admissions.

Steps to Apply:

  • For admission to CCS HAU must apply online through their official website.
  • They must read the prospectus attentively and download it from the HAU website.
  • The Application Form should be filled out properly. Once the form is submitted, no changes are permitted.
  • They must submit an application fee of INR 1000/- (250 for SC/BC/EWS).
  • The college publishes merit lists based on the varied qualifying conditions and grades obtained by students in various admission tests.
  • The final seat allocation occurs after counselling and fee payment.

Scholarships for Students:

University awards Institute Scholarships only to those who have been admitted to Haryana's restricted seats and on the basis of the merit list established for admission.

  • For UG students:     The University grants a merit scholarship of INR 800/- every month. This scholarship, however,  25% students who have been admitted to the Haryana reserved seats. The scholarship payment would be INR 1200/- per month for the female students.
  • For PG Programs:   Students (except MBA General, MBA Agribusiness, Master of Rural Management), M Sc Food Science & Technology, MBB, and Bioinformatics from any of the university's constituent colleges who do not receive any other scholarship or fellowship will be awarded a monthly stipend of INR 3000/-.
  • For Ph.D.: Students from any of the university's departments will receive INR 5000/- every month, regardless of whether they obtain any other scholarships or fellowships.
    National Talent Scholarship by ICAR: The Indian Council of Agricultural Research grants National Talent Scholarships of INR 3000/- per month for UG students and INR 5000/- for PG students on the basis of merit, based on an All-India entrance exam administered by ICAR.
  • Promotion of scientific Education (POSE) Scholarship: The Department of Science and Technology has launched a scholarship program for UG students pursuing B.Sc (General) and graduate students pursuing fundamental scientific courses. Every year, 100 students from B Sc-1 year and M.Sc are selected on merit. B.Sc students receive a scholarship of INR 4,000/- per month and contingency stipend of INR 4,000/- once a year, while M Sc students receive a scholarship of INR 6,000/- per month plus a contingency stipend of INR 5,000/- once a year.
  • HSCST Fellowship: Under this system, 25 fellowships (per year) are awarded to students pursuing a M.Sc or equivalent degree with minimum 55% marks and based on their performance in the CSIR's National Eligibility Test (NET), which is administered twice yearly. The fellowship is for maximum 5 years and fees INR 18,000/- per month for the first 2 years and INR 21,000/- per month for the remaining 3 years. The fellowship provides an annual contingency grant of INR 20,000/-.
