Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Admissions 2024-25

In 2010, the Haryana government founded the Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS). University provides UG and graduate courses in veterinary and animal science. The University has played an essential role in the development of the livestock industry as a rural development tool through its program curriculum.

For admission to LUVAS's UG programs, students must have a valid 12th level exams score. Admission to B.V.Sc., AH, and DVLT will henceforth be based on the candidate's performance in the NTA-conducted NEET-UG exam.

Admission to B.tech. (Dairy Technology) will be awarded based on an entrance test conducted by the institute itself.

For PG admissions, applicants must hold a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry degree from a university recognised by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI). The selection procedure will include an entrance exams followed by counselling. Application forms will only be available online. Reservations are in compliance with Government of India rules.

At the research level, the institution provides Ph.D.s in 16 fields; no entrance test is required for registration.

Admission Procedure at University

Admissions to the BVSc and AH programs are based on NEET-UG scores, whereas BTech (Dairy Technology) is based on the LUVAS entrance exam. Admission to the MVSc program is based on the ICAR AIEEA-PG exam, whereas the M.Tech program is based on merit. Admission to Diploma Programs is based on the VLDDET conducted by LUVAS/ NEET-UG for DVLT. Admission to Ph.D. programs is based on ICAR-AICE-JRF/SRF scores. For admission to any program, candidates must go through a university-conducted counselling procedure.

Applicants for UG programs at LUVAS must submit their applications online, and for admission to PG programs should submit their completed application forms either by registered post or by hand at the office of the Dean, PGS, LUVAS, Hisar, before the deadline.

Admission 2024 to M.V.Sc. Program

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates with B.V.Sc. and A.H. degree from a VCI-recognized institute/college with minimum 60% marks or 6 OGPA are eligible to take the entrance test.
  • Completed UG degree an internship with applicants must get at least 50% on the Entrance Test (47.5% for SC applicants).
  • Kashmiri migrants would be granted a 10% reduction in the minimum cut-off marks.

  • The minimum age requirement is 17 years, while the maximum age is 22 years (30 years for SC/ST/OBC candidates). For in-service applicants, the maximum age is 50 years.

  • If the Master's degree certificate is not issued, they will be required to present a certificate of their PG studies.
  • They must have received at least 65% aggregate marks in their M.V.Sc. course.
  • Candidates who do not have a B.V.Sc. & A.H. or M.V.Sc. degree are not eligible.
