Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya is an agricultural university founded on November 1, 1978, by Hon'ble Shri Shanta Kumar Ji, Himachal Pradesh's then Chief Minister. The university is certified by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and ranks 11th out of 75 ICAR Universities in India.

The institute provides UG, graduate, and doctoral programs in various agricultural subjects. It contains 4 disciplinary centres where students can be admitted: College of Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Home Science, and Basic Sciences. Admission 2024 to B.V.Sc. & A.H Programs

The College provides B.V.Sc. and A.H studies for 5½ years, including 1-year internship. There are maximum 60 seats available for each course. The courses require 12th diploma with at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English from a recognised board. Admission is dependent on the College's entrance test.

Basic Admission Criteria: Entrance test based

Eligibility Criteria:

The minimum eligibility criterion for both the courses is 50% marks in 12th with core subjects being Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English. The minimum percentage qualification for SC/ST/Person with Benchmark disability candidates is 47.5%.

The candidates will have to appear for the entrance exam conducted by the college to acquire admission in B.V.Sc. & A.H. courses. The reservations of seats are done as per the rules and regulations of the Government of India and the decision of review relies on the Academic Council.

Selection Criteria:

  • Candidates who satisfy the qualifying requirements and qualify for the program must attend a counselling session.
  • The eligibility requirements for admission to the abovementioned courses must essentially be satisfied on the day of counselling.
  • The ultimate admittance is determined by the scores received in the entrance test. If the scores are same, the candidate who is older will have an advantage.
  • The college's Vice-Chancellor reserves the power to terminate or reject admission to any candidate for documented reasons.

Admission 2024 to B.Sc., B.Sc (Hons.) & B.Tech Program
