Admission 2024 to College of Horticulture 

The College of Horticulture, Solan campus, provides UG, PG, and research degree programs in various horticulture and forestry fields. The institute now offers eight M.Sc. programs, seven Ph.D. programs, a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Horticulture, and 2 master's degree courses in management and agribusiness.

The fundamental entrance criteria for the B.Sc. program are 12th in science or agriculture with minimum 50% marks. Candidates for M.Sc. and Management programs must have bachelor's degree with minimum 60%. Candidates for Ph.D. programs must have master's degree in the applicable subject with minimum GPA 65%. Candidates are selected based on their admission exam scores and a personal interview (for Ph.D. programs).

 Key Admission Points:

• SC/ST/PH category candidates/HP in-service nominees receive 5% mark relaxation.
• The institution will conduct UGET on June 16, 2020, for UG course admission.
• The entrance exam for admission to the M.Sc. and MBA (Agribusiness) programs will be held on July 26, 2020.

 Admission 2024 to College of Forestry

The College of Forestry, Solan campus, provides 13 M.Sc. programs, 10 Ph.D. programs, B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Forestry, and PG Diploma program in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants.

The primary entry criteria for the B.Sc. program are 12th in science or agriculture. Candidates for M.Sc. and PG diploma programs must have bachelor's degree in the appropriate subject with minimum 50%. Ph.D. applicants must hold a master's degree in the relevant field. Candidates are selected based on their admission exam scores and personal interview (for Ph.D. programs).

 Admission 2024 to College of Horticulture & Forestry – NERI

The College of Horticulture & Forestry - NERI, Hamirpur campus provides 3 UG level B.Sc. (Hons.) degrees in horticulture, forestry, and biotechnology.

Admission to these programs requires 12th or equivalent exam with English, Physics, and Chemistry as required subjects and Biology, Mathematics, or Agriculture as optional courses, with minimum 50% marks. The selection process is based on the candidates' scores in the university's admission exam.

Note:

• SC/ST/PH category candidates/HP in-service nominees receive 5% mark relaxation.
• The same qualifying education from a foreign university recognised by the Academic Council will require 60% or comparable B grade.

Application Procedure 2024

University of Horticulture and Forestry welcomes applications from eligible individuals online. The complete application process is as follows.

• The candidate will be sent to a website, must select the 'apply now' option for the desired program.
• After successfully registering, the candidate will be assigned a unique registration number and access to the online application form.

Scholarship for Students

The institution provides the following financial support to its students:

UG Programs

• ICAR National Talent Scholarship: INR 1000 per month.
• College Merit Scholarship of INR 1000 per month (10% of enrolment).
• The government of India provides stipends to scheduled castes/tribes and low-income groups through the State Education Department. The stipend is comparable to the tuition and other fees
• Mrs Kanti Devi Awasthi Memorial Merit Scholarship of IMR 500/- per month is available to one female student pursuing B.Sc (Hons) Horticulture degree at the College of Horticulture in Solan.
• Dr. OP Awasthi Memorial Merit Scholarship of IMR 500/- per month for one boy student pursuing B Sc (Hons) Horticulture at the College of Horticulture in Solan (Nauni).
• HP Scheduled Castes and Tribes Development Corporation offers interest-free loans to SC/ST students.
• District Soldier Board stipend (amount varies). viii) Students from Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Persons with Disability categories who are eligible for UGC scholarships must submit scholarship forms for the academic year by February of each year.

PG Programs:

• University Merit Scholarship (one in each discipline): INR 3000 per month.
• University stipend (for HP domiciles without receiving any financial assistance): INR 2000 per month

Doctoral programs:

• University Merit Scholarship: INR 5000 PM (one per subject)
• University Stipend: INR 2500 PM (for HP domiciles who do not receive any financial support).
