Central University of Kashmir Admissions 2024-25

Situated on a vast 305-acre campus in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, the Central institution of Kashmir is a state institution that offers admission in the following fields: arts, science, commerce, technology, education, physical education, law, management, etc.

In the fields of arts, science, commerce, technology, management, computer science, home science, social science, and more, the university provides many UG, graduate, and doctoral degrees. In addition to M.Phil-Ph.D. at the research level in various arts, science, and management fields, University offers B.Voc. in 2 disciplines, BA.LL.B. at UG level, Integrated B.Sc.-M.Sc. programs in four disciplines, Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed., M.Tech in one discipline, M.Sc. in 3 disciplines, MA in 10 disciplines, M.Com., MBA, MTTM, M.Ed., M.P.Ed., and LL.M. at the graduate level. Additionally, the university provides some PG Diploma courses under some specializations. 

Admission to all UG and graduate programs at the institution is determined by the results of the CUET entrance exam. Admission to the MBA program at the institution is determined by the results of an entrance exam, specifically the CMAT, which is followed by the GD-PI. Performance in CUET PG, GATE, UGC-NET, JRF, and JEST determines admission to M.Tech programs. Admission to research courses is granted by the university based on CUET, NET, GATE, JRF, and SET, after which the university conducts counselling.

Admission 2024 to UG Program

For 5 years, the University offers various UG and integrated courses. According to the fundamental qualifying requirements, candidates must have received at least 50% marks in 12th from any accredited institution. Below are the specifics of each course and its areas of expertise:

Selection Criteria:

NTA will conduct the Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET), which will determine which candidates are admitted to the abovementioned courses.

Based on the CUET merit list and additional university requirements, all applicants will be selected for admission.

Procedure for Applications:

The initial step for candidates is to register on the NTA's official website, . Candidates who are eligible to take the CUET must only apply online. Applicants can review the steps listed below to apply:

  • Candidates can go to, the NTA's official website.
  • To receive confirmation SMS from NTA, you must supply a valid email address and mobile number.
  • Candidates must accurately enter their academic and personal information.
  • It is required to upload the scanned copies of the mark sheet, photo, signature, and other certifications.
  • The application fees must be paid online using a credit, debit, or net-banking card.
  • The application form must be printed out for the candidates' future reference.

Admission 2024 to PG Program

Integrated PG courses in some science and education specialisations are available at the University . Candidates must have 12th for admission to these courses, and admission is determined by entrance. Specializations of B.Sc-M.Sc are Physics, Mathematics, Zoology, Biotechnology

Eligibility Criteria:

  • For admission to a B.Sc. or M.Sc. program in mathematics and physics, candidates must have received 50% (45% for SC, ST, OBC, or PwD) in their 12th with mathematics and physics as the major subjects from an accredited board.
  • For admission to a B.Sc. or M.Sc. program in Zoology, candidates must have received 50% (45% for SC, ST, OBC, or PwD) in 12th with Biology, Biotechnology, or Biochemistry as the major subject from an accredited board.
  • For admission to a B.Sc. or M.Sc. program in biotechnology, candidates must have received 50% (45% for SC, ST, OBC, or PwD) in 12th with biotechnology, biochemistry, or mathematics as the primary subject from an accredited board.
  • For admission to a B.Ed. or M.Ed. program, candidates must have graduated with 50% (45% for SC, ST, OBC, or PwD) in the sciences, social sciences, or humanities from an accredited institution or university.

Selection Criteria:

University bases admission to all of its Integrated PG programs on merit, as determined by the results of the university's CUK counselling after CUET.

Admission to M.Tech in 2024

University provides 2-year PG M.Tech in CSE program. Graduation is the primary prerequisite for admission to M.Tech programs, and applicants are selected on the basis of their performance on an entrance exam.

Eligibility Criteria: For admission to the University of Kashmir's M.Tech program, candidates must have achieved a B.Tech or B.E. with 55% marks (or 50% for SC, ST, OBC, or PwD) or an equivalent CGPA or grade from an accredited university.

Selection Criteria:

University M.Tech admissions are determined by CUET merit and CUK counselling. Preference is given to GATE, UGC-NET, JRF, and JEST qualified candidates.

Admission 2024 to MBA Program

The Central University of Kashmir provides 2-year PG MBA programs with various specialisations. Graduation is the primary prerequisite for admission to an MBA program, and candidates are selected based on their performance on an entrance exam.

Eligibility: For admission to the  University MBA program, candidates must have graduated with 50% marks (45% for SC, ST, OBC, and PwD).

  • For admission to M.Sc. program, candidates must have 50% grade in the relevant B.Sc. (45% for SC, ST, OBC, and PwD) from an accredited university.
  • For admission to M.Com program, candidates must have 50% marks in their BBA or B.Com. (45% for SC, ST, OBC, or PwD).
  • For admission to the University LL.M. program, candidates must have 55% grade in their LL.B. or BA.LLB. (or 50% for SC, ST, OBC, or PwD) or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • For admisson to MTTM, candidates must have B.Sc. in any discipline with 50% marks (45% for SC, ST, OBC, and PwD).
  • For admisson to to an M.Ed program, candidates must have B.Ed., BA-B.Ed., or B.Sc.-B.Ed. with 50% marks (45% for SC, ST, OBC, or PwD).

PG is the primary prerequisite for admission to the M.Phil.-Ph.D. program, and candidates are chosen on the basis of their performance on an entrance exam and interview.
