In Jammu & Kashmir, the Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) is a well-known public university. It is situated in the Pulwama region's Awantipora. The state government of J&K created it on November 7, 2005.

University provides B.Tech programs in 6 engineering specialities, including UG BBA, B.Sc. AFM, and BA English (Hons.) programs. It provides postgraduate studies in many fields, including MBA, MCA, M. Tech Food Technology, M.Sc., and MA. Additionally, it provides Ph.D. programs in many subjects.

  • Regular applicants in B. Tech are required to apply for JEE Main (Paper-I) before completing the IUST application.
  • Candidates for M. Tech programs must apply with a valid GATE score; if not, they must sit the IUST admission exam for that program.
  • For admission to the BBA program, applicants must apply for and take the UG CMAT, which is conducted by AIMA for IUST.
  • All of IUST's programs have an application fee that may only be paid online. The university does not accept any other form of payment for fees.

  • All entrance exams, with the exception of standard B. Tech and MBA programs, are administered on campus.
  • After passing the Common Management Admission Test, MBA candidates are further assessed in a group discussion on current events throughout the world.
  • 5 subjects will be utilised to calculate qualifying test points, which will be lowered to 40 for admission to the BBA program. English and the top 4 topics outside of English are among the subjects.
  • Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, English, and the best one subject outside of the first 4 are the 5 disciplines that will be utilised to determine qualifying test points for admission to the B. Tech Food Technology program, which are lowered to a base of 40.
