Admission Procedure
A fee of INR 1,500 is required to apply for admission online through the university's official website. The following documentation is needed for PG admissions:
- SSC photocopy that has been self-attested.
- HSSE certificate photocopies that have been self-attested.
copy of the self-attested marks sheet and bachelor's or UG degree for each year or semester of the program. - 2 envelopes that are self-addressed and properly stamped
- Valid documents from the admission centre, JEE Main Registration Card, and JEE Main Rank Card or SMVDUEE Rank Card
- 2 envelopes that are self-addressed and properly stamped
- A character certificate that has been properly signed by the college or institute's principal or registrar and from which the student took the qualifying exam.
- Certificate of Migration/Transfer 5 current passport-sized photos.
JoSAA
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority, or JoSAA, offers admission to B.Tech programs. When registering, students who have taken the JEE Mains or JEE Advanced exams need to bear the following in mind:
- Only those who have qualified for JEE Mains may apply for seats in NITs.
- However, all participating universities accept applications from JEE Advanced qualified applicants.
- When registering, candidates can select as many options as they like in decreasing order.
- Students must remember to lock their selections in order to be evaluated for admission based on the possibilities provided. Changes cannot be done after locked.
- All participating institutions take part in total 7 rounds for seat distribution.
- Lastly, there is an acceptance fee that needs to be paid accepting the seat provisionally.
- Students must appear at the nearest JoSAA center for document verification.
JEE Mains
Depending on the type of candidate, there are different application fees for this exam. The general category application fee is INR 325. The prerequisites and registration procedure for JEE Mains are explained in the section that follows.
Required Documents
- Current, scanned photos in JPG or JPEG file that are either coloured or black and white with a distinct contrast. The ideal size range is 10 KB to 200 KB.
- Signed image in JPG or JPEG format. The ideal size range is 4–30 kb.
- Applications with ambiguous photos will not be accepted.
Steps to Register
- Go to JEE Main's official website and select "Fill Online Application Form."
- To create a user ID and password, register by providing personal information.
- Following the submission of the registration information, the application number will be generated.
- Personal information, address, and mobile number are required on the form.
- To access the application in the future, you can configure your password and security question.
- Use the same user ID and password you created to log in and submit the application.
Scholarships for Students
To be eligible for or renew the following scholarships, the student must maintain a minimum CGPA of 7.50 with no backlogs in each semester:
Program Scholarships for B.Tech:
- JEE (Mains) up to 30,000 AIR(CRL): Full tuition fee free for the first 5 semesters
- Full tuition fee waiver for the first 4 semesters for JEE (Mains) candidates with AIR(CRL)s above 30,000 and up to 50,000
- For the first 3 semesters, all tuition fees are waived for JEE (Mains) scores above 50,000 and up to 1,00,000 AIR(CRL):
B.Arch Program Scholarships:
- Up-to 500 AIR(CRL) in JEE (Mains): Full Tuition Fee waiver for first 05 semesters
- Above 500 & up-to 1500 AIR(CRL) in JEE (Mains): Full Tuition Fee waiver for first 04 semesters
- Above 1500 & up-to 3000 AIR(CRL) in JEE (Mains): Full Tuition Fee waiver for first 03 semesters:
MBA Program Scholarships:
- Above 90 percentile in MAT/CMAT: Full Tuition Fee waiver for I year & 50% Tuition Fee waiver for II Year
- Between 85 to 90 percentile in MAT/CMAT: Full Tuition Fee waiver for I year
- Between 80 to 85 percentile in MAT/CMAT: 50% Tuition Fee waiver for I year
