UG and PG studies in agriculture, veterinary sciences, animal husbandry, and forestry are available at Birsa Agricultural University (BAU) in Ranchi. It also provides research courses in various disciplines. There are 5 colleges and 35 departments that carry out the research and education activities. 6 disciplines are offered for a Bachelor of Science with Honours, while 35 subjects from the Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, and Forestry streams are offered for PG courses.
Admission to BAU Ranchi's various UG and graduate programs is determined by the Jharkhand Combined Competitive Entrance Exam, which is conducted by JCECEB for UG, graduate, and doctoral programs, and the Combined Competitive Entrance Examination, which is conducted by I.C.A.R. V.C.I. at the national level. Students are chosen on the basis of their qualifications and in accordance with Jharkhand and Indian government policies.
The entrance exam is the basis for admission to university. Every year, the application process typically begins in July and lasts until September. You can complete the admissions form online by going to the University's website. Based on their entrance exam scores, students will be selected. Counselling alone will be used to assign seats in the departments.

Admission 2024 to UG Program
University offers various specialisations for its B.Sc. (H) in Agricultural and Forestry programs. Additionally, the university provides Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry Honours courses.
Students from sience side in physics, chemistry, and biology (PCB) may select from any major of agriculture, veterinary sciences, animal husbandry, and forestry, those with a background in PCM can only apply to forestry and agriculture. There are 50 seats available for the B.Sc. (H) Agriculture program. There are 26 spots available at the university for the four B.Sc. (H) Forestry courses.
A combined competitive entrance exam conducted by I.C.A.R. V.C.I. at the national level fills 15% seats, while the Jharkhand Combined Competitive Entrance Examination Board, Ranchi, fills 85% seats.

Admission 2024 to PG Program
In various agricultural, veterinary, and forestry-related fields, the university provides courses that lead to M.Sc. (Ag.), M.V.Sc., and M.Sc. (Forestry), as well as M.Tech and MBA degrees. Many PG departments is 35. The university provides an MBA in agribusiness, an M.Tech in agricultural engineering, and an M.Sc. in biotechnology.
Entrance exams are used to determine admission to several PG programs in the fields of agriculture, forestry, veterinary medicine, agricultural engineering, and biotechnology. For P.G. admission, the reservation list established by the Jharkhand government is used. Only master's programs are offered by the College of Biotechnology.

Students must pass the university admission exam in addition to meeting the eligibility requirements. There will be a single question paper with 200 multiple-choice questions and four answers on the test.
