Mangalore University's academic curriculum includes PG, Doctoral, PG Diploma, and Diploma programs. M.Sc, MA, MCA, MBA, M.Ed., M.PEd., M.Lib.Sc, M.Com, and MSW programs are available at PG level. Admission 2024 to B.P.Ed. Program

The university provides B.P.Ed. with student intake 50 (20 General Category and 30 Payment Category). Candidates who have finished Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with at least 45% are eligible to apply. Admission to B.P.Ed is based on performance in the admission test, qualifying exam scores, and sports participation.

Admission 2024 to M.Sc & MA Program

At PG level, the university provides M.Sc in 18 specializations and MA in 7 specializations. To apply, applicants must have Bachelor's degree with at least 45% in the relevant discipline.

Admission to MA and M.Sc programs is based on performance in the entrance test and qualifying exams.

Admission 2024 to MBA & MCA Program

The MBA and MCA programs demand graduate with minimum 50% marks. Admissions are given based on the student's Karnataka PGCET exam scores.

Admission 2024 to PG Program: M.Sc, M.Lib.Sc, M.Com, MA, MSW, M.Ed. & M.PEd.

University provides PG programs in MCA, M.Lib.Sc, M.Com, MSW, M.Ed., and M.P.Ed.

M.Com applicants must have B.Com, BBA, or BBM degree with minimum 45% marks. Candidates who have BCA or B.Sc in CS, Mathematics, Business Statistics, or Business Mathematics with minimum 50% are eligible to pursue an MCA. Students who have finished B.Lib.Sc. or B.Sc. with at least 45% marks are eligible for admission in M.Lib.Sc.

Applicants who hold a B.P.Ed. degree with at least 50% marks (45% for restricted category students) are eligible for an M.P.Ed. Candidates for MSW must have graduation in any relevant discipline with at least 45%. The university admits students to M.Com, MSW, and M.PEd. programs based on their entrance test scores and qualifying exam results.

Key Points:

• In each program, no more than 2 spots are set aside for students from other universities.
• Each program has maximum 5 seats set out for international students.
• The ward of defense personnel, the physically disabled, the NSS, the NCC, and athletes, as well as the children of Kashmiri migrants, are all given spot in each program.
• According to directives from the Karnataka government and UGC, 3% seats are set aside for candidates with physical disabilities, 8% for students from the Hyderabad, Karnataka, area, 1% for students of the 3rd gender, and 15% for students from other universities.

Admission 2024 to PG Diploma Program

The university offers 1-year PG Diploma program with 4 specializations. To be eligible for admission, applicants must have obtained at least 45% marks in Bachelor's degree.

Admission to PG Diploma courses is provided on the basis of the applicant’s merit in the qualifying exams and marks acquired in the entrance test.

Admission 2024 to Ph.D. & M.Phil Program

The university offers minimum 3-year Ph.D. program with 21 specialties, with 22 seats available in the statistics discipline and 8 seats in each specialization, as well as 1-year M.Phil. program with 3 specializations and 1 student accepted in each. Applicants are deemed qualified for admission to Ph.D. and M.Phil. programs if they obtained minimum 55% in Master's degree in relevant field.

The applicant's performance in the university's entrance exam and interview rounds determines their admission to the course.

Important Points:

• The interview is worth 25 marks, while the entrance exam is 120 minutes long and worth 100.
• The written entrance exam is not required of candidates who have the UGC/CSIR JRF, NET, SLET, GATE, or who are foreign nationals.
  
• Senior Scientists are not required to take the entrance exam or the interview phase.
• The admission exam results are good for at least 2 years.
• Candidates with disabilities are granted 3% seats.
