Nitte University Admissions 2024-25

Established in Mangalore, Karnataka, Nitte University was established in 2008. The UGC, New Delhi, considers it to be university-approved.


B.Sc., MBBS, BDS, BPT, B.Pharm, B.Tech, B.Arch, BJMC, and Post Basic B.Sc. in Nursing programs are available at UG level at Nitte University. The institution offers PG-level courses in MD, MS, MPH, MCh, M.Pharm, MPT, MSc, and MJMC.

Additionally, the university offers GNM, Pharm.D., D.Pharm., and Post Basic Diploma in Nursing courses. Candidates can select to apply in Ph.D. programs with 6 specialties at the doctorate level. Candidates must apply offline for admission to undergraduate, graduate, and diploma programs. To apply for admission to Ph.D. program, individuals must download and submit the application.

Through KEA's Centralized Counseling, admission to MBBS and BDS programs is determined by NEET UG ranking. Through a valid NATA score, candidates were admission to B.Arch program. The applicant's performance on the qualifying exam determines their admission to the following UG programs. Through KEA's centralized counseling, admission to MD and MS programs is determined by NEET PG rating. A valid NEET MDS score is required for admission to MDS. Admission to M.Ch. is determined by a valid score on the NEET SS, which is conducted by NBE. On the basis of their performance on the qualifying exam, students for admission to various PG programs. Admission to B.Tech is on the basis of valid scores in NUCAT conducted by the University.

Admission 2024 to MBBS and BDS Program

 University offers 5.5 year MBBS program that can accommodate 150 students and 5-year BDS program that can accommodate 100 students and requires 1-year internship.

Candidates for admission to MBBS and BDS programs must have finished their 12th with at least 50% in English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Biotechnology.

The candidate's legitimate NEET UG score determines their admission to the MBBS and BDS programs.

Admission 2024 to UG Perogram: B.Sc, B.Pharm, BPT, B.Arch, B.Tech & BJMC

University offers B.Sc in Nursing, B.Pharm, BPT, B.Sc in Biomedical Science, B.Tech, B.Arch and BJMC courses at the UG level. Candidates who have 12th with at least 45% marks in PCB and English are eligible to B.Sc in Nursing. Candidates for B.Sc in MIT, MLT, A&OTT, BPT, and BSc (Hons) courses must have 12th with at least 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Students who have completed 12th with minimum 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electronics, Biotechnology, and English are eligible to pursue a B.Pharm degree.


Applicants who have 12th with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are eligible for admission to B.Arch. Candidates who have 12th or an equivalent qualifying exam with at least 40% are eligible to apply for admission to BJMC.

Students are admitted to the B.Arch program depending on their verified NATA scores. Admission to the remaining courses is based on the applicant's performance in the qualifying exam, as determined by the university's standards.

Admission 2024 to MD, MS and MDS Program

The university provides 3-year MD and MS programs in various areas, with a total 98 students, as well as 3-year MDS program with a capacity of 49 students.

Candidates who have finished the MBBS course and are permanently registered with any State Medical Council are eligible to enroll in the MD/MS program. Similarly, people who have finished their BDS degree and are registered with the State Medical Council are deemed qualified for admission to the MDS course.

Admission to MD and MS courses is based on NEET PG rank, which is determined through centralized counselling by the Karnataka Exams Authority (KEA). MDS admission is provided based on a valid result in NEET MDS.

Admission to M.Tech and MCA is based on NUCAT exam results. To be eligible for the master's degree in engineering, the individual must first take the Nitte University Common Admission Test.

 Admission criteria for M.Tech:

Admission 2024 to PG Program

At PG level, the university provides M.Ch, MPH, MDS, M.Sc, M.Pharm, MPT, M.Sc, and MJMC courses.

Candidates with an MS in General Surgery are eligible for M.Ch admission. Admission to the MPH course requires Bachelor's degree in Health Science, Paramedical Science, Biomedical Science, Environmental Engineering, or Management with minimum 50% grades.

Those who have B.Sc or Post Basic B.Sc in Nursing with at least 55% marks are eligible for admission in the M.Sc in Nursing program. Students having BPT degree and at least 45% marks are eligible for admission in the MPT course. Applicants who have finished the B.Pharm course with minimum 55% marks are eligible to enroll in the M.Pharm program. Candidates for MJMC must have BJMC program with minimum 50% grades.

Admission 2024 to Pharm.D, GNM & Diploma Program

The university also provides 6-year Pharm.D course, 3-year Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate) program, and one-year internship. The university also provides GNM curriculum and 1-year Post Basic Diploma.
