University was established in 2004 and is located in the state of Karnataka. It is a state university accredited by the NAAC with 'B' grade. The UGC acknowledged the university as an Institute of National Eminence. The Karnataka State Higher Education Council in Bengaluru recently classified the university as 'Three Star' institution under the Karnataka State Universities Rating Framework (KSURF).
University offers various UG, graduate, and doctoral courses. The University contains 24 PG departments, 19 UG departments, 2 constituent colleges, and 94 affiliate colleges.
It developed 29 research centers that promoted advanced transdisciplinary research and academic collaboration. Applications for UG and doctoral programs are accepted in May, and graduate programs in July. Students can submit their applications within 3 weeks of receiving notified. Academic quality will be used to select students for UG courses. Admission to PG courses will be dependent on the counselling procedure. MBA and MCA admission would be granted directly through KEA, Bengaluru. All Ph.D. programs require candidates to take an admission exam and personal interview.
