The Department of Mathematics offers a comprehensive curriculum covering major mathematical fields, adhering to the UGC CBCS model. Emphasizing active participation in academic events, we initiated a Ph.D. program in 2020 for high-quality research. Our goal is to guide students from acquiring mathematical knowledge to gaining wisdom in life.

 Department of Library and Information Science:

Establishment: The Department of Library and Information Science was founded in 2016.

Undergraduate Program: The department began with a one-year Bachelor Degree in Library and Information Science (BLISc) with an intake capacity of fifty.

Postgraduate Program: In 2020, it introduced a one-year Master Degree program in Library and Information Science (MLISc) with a current intake capacity of thirty.

Focus Area: The primary focus is on training students in both traditional and modern library systems, equipping them with the necessary knowledge to handle various information tools.

Curriculum Design: All courses are meticulously designed following the UGC CBCS (Credit based Choice System) model, offering substantial potential in research fields.

Research Opportunities: The curriculum is structured to support research aspirations, allowing students to build their careers in research.

Academic Activities: The department regularly organizes seminars, conferences, and encourages students to engage in practical aspects of library-related work by visiting and working in different libraries.

Ph.D. Programme: Commencing in 2020, the department initiated a Ph.D. program with a focus on high-quality research.

• Establishment: The Department of English at M.B.B. University was founded in 2016.
• Capacity: The department has a seat capacity of 50.
• Post-Graduate Studies: The Post-Graduate Studies in English encompass four courses in each semester, totaling sixteen courses over four semesters in two years.
• Faculty Strength: Currently, the department has two faculty members.
• Syllabus: The syllabus is contemporary and adheres to the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), offering flexibility in course selection.
• Growth: Since its inception, the department has steadily grown, witnessing an increasing number of student admissions each year.

• Elective Courses: The department offers a Compulsory Elective Course on Communication Skills in English for all university departments and another on Basic Computer Skills.

• Inception: The Department commenced its journey on 10th August 2016. Originally named the Department of Public Administration, it was officially renamed the Department of Political Science from the academic session 2021-2022.
• Objective: The primary objective is to provide comprehensive training to Post Graduate students across all branches of Political Science. The curriculum emphasizes both theoretical concepts and recent empirical aspects, aiming to equip students with conceptual awareness for further specialized studies and research activities in Political Science and related disciplines.
• Year of Renaming: The department transitioned from the Department of Public Administration to the Department of Political Science in the academic session 2021-2022.

Established in the year 2022, the Department of History aims to unravel the rich history and culture of India and the world, with a specific emphasis on the regional history of Northeast India, especially Tripura. Operating in self-finance mode, the program is designed to provide comprehensive training in various historical aspects from ancient to modern times, covering Historiography, Post-Independent India, Mahatma Gandhi, Ecology & Environment, and the Contemporary World.
