Rajasthan Agricultural University established the state university Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, or MPUAT Udaipur, in 1999. It is associated with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), approved by the AICTE, and accredited by ICAR. In the fields of agriculture, fisheries, dairy and food, engineering, and technology, the institute offers many graduate, PG, and doctoral level courses.

University grants doctoral degrees in 25 specializations, master's degrees in 27 specializations, and bachelor's degrees in 13 fields. Both online and offline applications are accepted, and admissions are determined by entrance and merit. Counseling and interviews follow.

• Both the entrance exam and the most recent qualified exam are used to determine admissions.
• The prerequisite for admission to B.Tech programs is have 12th from the Rajasthan Board or any other recognized board. Additionally, they met the cutoff score for the ICAR AIEEA/JEE Mains or JET entrance exam.
• Admission to the B.Sc., B.F.Sc., and M.F.Sc. programs is determined by the merit score obtained in the final test, which is followed by an interview. The applicant must have12th in required subjects.
• Admission to M.Tech programs is determined by the GATE Exam and a 50% BE/B.Tech aggregate.
• The selection criteria for MBA admissions are internal exams, followed by GD and PI.
• The candidate must have passed the UGC-NET, JRF, and SET exams to be eligible for Ph.D.

• Applicants must complete the online or offline admission application.
• The MPUAT official website allows candidates to complete the online form, and online payment is required for the online registration fees.
• The registration form can also be completed offline by candidates, and it will be turned in to the college within a certain duration.
• No form will be accepted at all once the acceptance period has ended.

Results of University:

University conducts its own entrance exam to determine admission to some courses. At the end of June, the university results are announced. Candidates can visit the official university websites to view the results for many UG and graduate courses.

Placements to University:

University provides students with excellent learning environment to help them become ready for various internships and placements. The students receive information in accordance with industry standards as part of the internship curriculum. Even though there aren't many placement options at the college level, the instructors support the students and assist them get ready for large corporations.

Various state government scholarships are also offered to different student categories. Under specific terms and conditions, ICAR and UGC offer scholarships to ICAR students and top rankers.

Hostels:    10 hostels in all, including 2 for female students and separate ones for PG and UG students, are available. Each hostel has a common area, a library, a color TV, guest room furnishings, an indoor game room, and more.

Library:     Students and employees of the institute have access to library resources. Over 20,000 books covering various subjects are available to students. The library has a large collection of research papers, journals, and e-books.

Sports:     The colleges' traditional games and sports programs have made every effort to upgrade their facilities and sports foundation. To encourage the pupils to participate, it planned vrious sporting events.
